Determination like beskar lay in the undertones of the Knight’s voice. Red eyes narrowed with effort, Asena moved to haul Jarrok into a line of cover, from where she could better defend him.

Sith or no, it made little matter. At this point in time, he needed help, and she would karking well give it to him.
Keeping her sabers lit, the Chiss dropped to a kneel beside the Zabrak, keeping half an eye on him, and half an eye on the chaos raging on the battlefield beyond.

Amusement had her painted lips twitching in the barest resemblance of a smirk.
“Perhaps you and I are not so entirely different, after all.”
The Sith tilted her head, her golden eyes glittering as she regarded the former Emperor with a new kind of understanding. Arcann was... a complex man, to say the least, but there were parts of him that she could relate to from the get go. Particularly when compared with his sister, he tended to act more pragmatically... to a point.

「 HAIR 」 : the sender gently, almost hesitantly, begins to run their fingers through receiver's hair to provide some kind of comfort && grounding.
「 SACRIFICE 」 : for the sender to urge the receiver to keep going, turning back to the threat so that they can make a final stand && allow the receiver to escape.
「 SHOULDER 」 : with the receiver injured && slowing them down, the sender turns back and scoops up the receiver to throw them over their shoulder as a means to hasten their escape.
「 SUPPORT 」 : for the sender to pull receiver's arm over their shoulder and firmly hold receiver's waist, supporting their weight with the sender's own body.
「 CHEEK 」 : for the sender, who is slowly bleeding out from a wound, to reach up and touch the receiver's cheek, offering them a small smile as if trying to reassure receiver.

PSA: Please never be afraid to send asks.
We've all been there. We open someone's ask box to send an anonymous message to a muse you want to see on the dashboard. You get ready to type... But nothing comes to mind. You, yourself, sort of want to get asks as well and start some dashboard commentary, but your mind is at a blank.
Asks are a great jumping point for writers who aren't feeling like writing a thread / ic post on it's own. Here's some suggestions for what types of asks you can send to muses when you can't think of much;
Ask the muse about a recent muse interaction. For instance, go 'Mario, how could you let Bowser talk to you like that?'
Pry at a muse about some internal narration they had. Go 'Mario, why are you doubting yourself?'
Ask an everyday question! Saunter in and go 'Mario, how's the weather today?'
The worst thing someone can do is not answer something since they can't think of a good reply, but the notion is always appreciated. If you ever wonder if it's okay to send an ask, you can always go 'hey mun, is it okay if I inform muse of x or y?' and go from there. Foster your niche community. Do unto others what you would want for yourself.

[ PROMISE ]: before leaving to get help/food/water/a rescue mission etc, the sender assures and promises the receiver that they’ll return safely, refusing to bring them along or to stay behind.
[ BROKEN ]: after having promised the receiver that they’d return, it’s learned that the sender died during their mission. how does the receiver respond?
[ TRAPPED ]: after having promised the receiver that they’d return from a mission, the receiver learns that the sender has been kidnapped or otherwise trapped, requiring a rescue mission to bring them home.

[Catch] for sender to fall into receiver's arms. [Whoops!] for sender to hit the ground in front of receiver. [Trust] for sender to lean against receiver as they pass out. [Snooze] for sender to collapse out of exhaustion.
The moment Lana had left, Theron turned to Azukni with furrowed brow. "You're sure you want to do this, Master Jedi? I've worked pretty closely with Lana and some of the other imperials on base; you haven't. You can't trust what they say as far as you can throw them. Or well, as far as I can throw them. Since you got the Force and all."
Azukni looked up at him, and titled her head. It was true; she generally worked closely with other Jedi and the Republic, and she'd never really had the chance to experience the storied cruelty of the Empire or its Sith. However what little experience she did have, was far less frightening than what she had grown up believing.
She knew very well it'd be folly to trust everything that was told to her, but such was the case with anyone, regardless their loyalties. But with her Force-blessed intuition, she'd be fine. She knew this. Theron knew this, if he had read any file about her.
"I'm quite positive, thank you Agent Shan," she replied, her voice lowering to not be overheard. In her peripheral, Lana's presence returned, along with another individual -- strong in the Force, honed like a fine blade. "But what about your experience with Imperials makes you this guarded? It seems you're being more cautious than even some of our most paranoid Republic soldiers." Theron's face twitched, and from here Azukni could practically feel his heart rate pick up.
Lana and her companion stepped into view, and Azukni turned to them both. "Lana, you failed to inform me that I'd be working with my favourite handsome spy boy," the stranger said. Beside her, Theron stammered in protest before Azukni saved him from his embarrassment. "Unfortunately, Agent Shan will not be participating in this particular mission. That responsibility falls to me." Azukni offered a polite bow before smiling up at the tall chiss.
"I am Jedi Master Dabarein. I trust that Miss Beniko has filled you in on the details of the mission?"
The moment she was informed of the fact that Theron would not be joining them, the Chiss' first response was for those painted lips of hers to turn downwards into a pout. Such a classically un-Sith-like response, that it doubled back around on being exactly on brand for a Sith Lord. When they did not get their way, they became upset, or angry. Silaina's reaction had simply been somewhat more... childlike, more petulant, than your average Sith, especially one of high rank.
"Well, those aren't the words that a girl wants to hear."
Her eyes pinched at the corners, and her frustration simmered to the fore. The Dark Councillor did not let it get the better of her, however; aside from the brief outburst that could not be totally classified as one, she remained mostly composed.
"Not even an accompaniment, surely? As a liaison?"
He might have been a spy, and Republic at that, but still. Surely it would have been a good idea to have a third party on hand, to keep the peace between the Jedi and the Sith...? If not Theron, then perhaps Lana Beniko, although she vastly would have preferred it to be Theron...
"...Yes, that's correct." Fine, she supposed she could reign in the desire to work alongside Agent Shan. "I am Dark Councillor Inanis, Head of the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge. You may call me Lord Kallig, or Councillor Inanis." It was not her name, not even her core name, but Silaina did not go giving that out to everyone she met. That was highly improper. And since Master Dabarein was a tenuous ally at best, titles were what she was given.
Balancing a box on her hip, she gave a hum of understanding. "Keeping busy, now you're speaking my language. Lucky for us both, there's always something to do. Usually it's something someone else doesn't want to do, so I'll give you that warning, at least. People might try to pawn off jobs on you, take advantage of your good nature and willingness to help." Even though she was holding the box, she pointed her finger out at him in the most mock serious manner that she could.
"You listen to me, David, no is always an acceptable answer. You got that? Someone asks you to go digging around in the muck fields, you always say no. I'd order you, but I don't think I have the rank." She shrugged, giving him a good-natured wink to accompany her smile.
"But yeah, the spa. It isn't too bad, it's nice if you ever have sore muscles or need some rest and relaxation, but I swear, some people get stuck there and never come out. It's all they want to do. Guess I can't blame them when there isn't much else to do unless you go looking." She led him for a few paces in silence. Was she talking too much?
"Where are your friends stationed? Any come with you?"
Wash listened to her advice attentively, his blue eyes gazing at her intently to show that she held his focus. Some civilians tended to find his stare unnerving, at times — a byproduct of his Spartan upbringing — but he was also aware that he had become a little more relaxed over the years. More approachable. And he had been deemed one of the few easily approachable Spartan-IIs to begin with.
“I appreciate it, ma’am.” He was not about to point out the fact that he was more than used to others trying to take advantage of his generosity. That would have been downright dismissive of her genuine desire to ensure he stood his own ground; he merely nodded and agreed, as it was the polite thing to do.
He then laughed, surprising himself, in response to her remark that she likely did not possess the necessary rank with which to order him around. Last he checked, he was still a Petty Officer, First Class. “I think you are probably right on the money, there. And don’t worry; if I find myself needing to say no to someone, I will.” It was not always an easy thing, but if it was necessary, it would have to be done.
This... spa sounded an awful lot like a more relaxing version of the water park that the Reds and Blues had built on Iris. Which, while it had not been entirely his speed, it had been enjoyable. Especially after he had managed to needle Carolina into joining in.
Maybe going to the spa wouldn’t be so bad?
