The Lovers card shows men who completely trust each other and are united by a Crow.

The Five of Pentacles shows childhood friends, helping each other simply by being with each other.

About credit

On instagram, the eddsworld artist community has been blowing up about crediting the creators. I don’t think that things have been handled very well, however, and the method of trying to fix things isn’t the most effective. I’d like to give some pointers on how to deal with someone who doesn’t give credit in a respectful and effective manner.

1. ASSUME THAT THEY ARE UNAWARE OF THEIR MISTAKES

Many, if not all of these individuals aren’t aware that they’ve done something wrong. After all, how could posting a picture of a character on instagram be harmful? You can’t address the subject as if it’s common knowledge, because it’s not. This brings me onto the next point-

2. EXPLAIN

Believe it or not, this needs to be emphasized. Because many people treat crediting artists as common knowledge, they won’t explain why it’s important. If you approach someone asking them to credit and they refuse, explain why creds are important and offer help on how to give it properly.

3. BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL.

We all need to remember that these are actual people that we’re talking to. Some of us are very quick to call others “lazy” and “dense,” and it only makes matters worse. They aren’t lazy. They’re misinformed. Please don’t speak down to or belittle them. This is not effective because they’ll feel as if they’re being attacked and will go on the defense. Then, there’s a good possibility that they won’t listen anymore and they’ll block you.

It’s really important to treat these people as… well, people. Be informative, kind, and understanding. I believe this also applies to everything else, not just kids forgetting to give credit to artists online.
