Might be warped rotors. You can get em turned at a shop and it should fix it. Might wanna do the pads too if they look uneven

No one turns rotors anymore, here in the midwest. They just slap on another set as they've gotten cheaper to do that than the cost to maintain the equipment and skill base to run the resurfacing machines.

Unless that drainline is on what is now the bottom, this is a bad idea. Unless the pan is made to not be just on the bottom but the side too with slope towards the drain, also not a great idea. It could be made to do this, there's a lot of options on the minisplit market.
