Ten minute speedpaint of my Demon!Aziraphale’s Fall. No references. No details. No regrets.
Starting my own tag chain!
Rules: List the top five songs that you think represent your OTP and why. Then tag 10 people!
OTP: Ineffable Husbands - Aziraphale/Crowley (Good Omens)
1. Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen
This is an obvious one for the fandom, and a lot of people reference it, but it suits both of them! Crowley is a Queen stan, and I can totally see them driving and this song comes on and all the sudden it goes “Ooh love, ooh loverboy” and Crowley turns a bright shade of red while Azi smiles *sighs*. Plus it literally mentions dining at the Ritz. C’mon guys.
2. RAIN by Ben Platt
This song works for most of my OTPs, but I feel like it works especially well for them. Let me put some lyrics in:
My heart’s been broken and broken and broken and broken But I keep, keep on hoping and hoping and hoping and hoping That if it keeps on breaking and breaking and breaking and breaking Them one day it’ll open and open and open and open and open for you
To me it means that basically they both come from places they don’t like, places where they were hurt, but they are slowly learning to open up to each other (even if it’s taking them 6,000 years).
3. One Day by Perfect Friction
I put this song for a LOT of things, but I feel like it fits them, too. The message of it is that one day the couple that is being referenced in the song is going through difficulties, but one day everything will work out and they will be happy. This ties in with Good Omens (or at least I think it does) by saying that Aziraphale and Crowley are struggling to find their way through their relationship, with Heaven and Hell on their backs, but one day they will be able to be free and not worry about anything, and just be with one and other.
4. Secret Love Song by Little Mix
The whole message of this song is about being in love and wanting to share it with the world but not being able to. This is LITERALLY the Ineffable Dumbasses Husbands in my mind. They want so badly to be in love but because Heaven and Hell want so badly for them NOT to be in love, it’s hard. Also, neither of them are good at explaining how they feel for each other, to an extent. They are definitely getting there, though.
5. Adore You by Harry Styles
This to me sounded like Crowley (or Aziraphale in some parts) pining after Azi. He wants so badly to love him, to be with him, but Aziraphale is slightly scared of what their Head Offices will think of them, and Crowley just wants to be able to love him and…adore him.

You don’t have to continue the chain if you do not wish to do so!
OTP: Aziraphale and Crowley (good omens)
1. Pale blue eyes by Velvet Underground.
Fight me. Crowley loves this song, and listens to it when he feels like pining over Aziraphale. :)
2. I’ll be your mirror by Velvet Underground
Neil Gaiman said Crowley loves this song. Need I say anymore.
3. Someone You Loved
I feel like Crowley would really relate to this song during that hundred year nap period. Because he loves Aziraphale so much. He would be so devastated if they ever fell out of love. And it talks about how the other person would help numb the pain and help them in times of need, which Aziraphale would do for Crowley. There was a post about how Aziraphale gets himself in trouble and shows up when Crowley is feeling particular bad about humans killing each other, and helps him feel better. But Aziraphale didn’t show up during the first world war.
4. Love changes Everything
When they realize they are in love, their world changes. Need I say more. “Love will never let you be the same” Crowley literally saves the world from destruction for Aziraphale. Listen to the words they fit so well with these two adorable idots.
5. Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran
Okay, so if you listen to song and think about the day after the scene on the Wall in Eden. It would fit well with either of them. Heres some lyrics.
‘Cause all I know is we said hello
And your eyes look like coming home
All I know is a simple name
And everything has changed
All I know is, you held the door
You’ll be mine and I’ll be yours
All I know since yesterday, yeah
Is everything has changed
Think about it. Thinking about the others eyes. They both have fairly distinct eye colors. Instead of holding the door its holding a shielding them from the rain. I rest my case.

Oh wow. Okay. Um. OTP: Aziraphale & Crowley from Good Omens. Lord I have 700 songs in my playlist for them let me try and narrow it down to my favorites (Yes I have all the obvious Queen and Velvet Underground songs on there but I thought I’d toss a few others out for people to find)...
1. Let Love In - Goo Goo Dolls The lyrics are self-explanatory for this one.
You wait, wanting this world To let you in And you stand there A frozen light In dark and empty streets You smile hiding behind A God-given face But I know you're so much more Everything they ignore Is all that I need to see You're the only one I ever believed in The answer that could never be found The moment you decided to let love in Now I'm banging on the door of an angel The end of fear is where we begin The moment we decided to let love in
2. Nights in White Satin - Moody Blues
This one just has the appropriate tone of longing for a 6,000 year slow burn. Enough said.
Nights in white satin Never reaching the end Letters I've written Never meaning to send Beauty I'd always missed With these eyes before Just what the truth is I can't say any more 'Cause I love you Yes I love you Oh how I love you
3. Angel With a Shotgun - The Cab
Perhaps a bit on the nose, but still by far one of my favorites. It has so much of the energy of both of them at the end, no longer afraid because they have each other. Their own side.
Get out your guns, battle’s begun Are you a saint, or a sinner? If loves a fight, than I shall die With my heart on a trigger
They say before you start a war You better know what you're fighting for Well baby, you are all that I adore If love is what you need, a soldier I will be
I'm an angel with a shotgun Fighting til' the wars won I don't care if heaven won't take me back I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe Don't you know you're everything I have?
4. Ghost - Cirice
This is just a beautiful, haunting song that’s always spoken to me for this particular OTP.
I know your soul is not tainted Even though you've been told so Can you hear the rumble? Can you hear the rumble that's calling? I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart I can see through the scars inside you I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart I can see through the scars inside you A candle casting a faint glow You and I see eye to eye Can you hear the thunder? How can you hear the thunder that's breaking? Now there is nothing between us From now our merge is eternal Can't you see that you're lost? Can't you see that you're lost without me?
5. Wrong Side of Heaven - Five Finger Death Punch
A song that could really be seen from the perspective of either Aziraphale or Crowley. Not necessarily a love song for the two of them, but definitely appropriate for them.
I spoke to God today and she said that she's ashamed What have I become What have I done I spoke to the devil today and he swears he's not to blame And I understood 'cause I feel the same
Arms wide open I stand alone I'm no hero and I'm not made of stone Right or wrong I can hardly tell I'm on the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell
6. Paradise - Within Temptation
Sorry for six instead of five, but I had to include this one. The unbelievably beautiful operatic rock vocals mix so well with the lyrics into something resoundingly epic.
All in all You expect the wise to be wiser Fallen from grace and All and all I guess we should have known better 'Cause
What about us Isn't it enough No we're not in paradise This is who we are This is what we've got No it's not our paradise But it's all we want And it's all that we're fighting for Though it's not paradise
I mean, I could probably keep going but I’ve already exceeded the meme limit so I’ll just tag... anyone at all who wants to do this!
It’s not a story about someone who was always secretly good even though they tried to convince the whole world and themself that they weren’t. It’s a story about someone who, despite being legitimately bad in so many ways, still has the capacity to be good anyway. It’s not about redemption, or about what Heaven thinks or judges or wants. It’s about f r e e w i l l . However terrible you are or were or have the ability to be, you can still choose to do a good thing. You can still love. You can still be loved in return.
And I think that matters.

Go through the link and read this meta, seriously. 1000 times yes to it, I couldn’t agree more.
The part which speaks to me the most:
There’s a narrative fandom’s been telling that, at its core, is centered around the idea that Crowley is good, and loves and cares and is nice, and always has been. Heaven and its rigid ideas of Right and Wrong is itself the bad thing. Crowley is too good for Heaven, and was punished for it, but under all the angst and pain and feelings of hurt and betrayal, he’s the best of all of them after all.
That’s a compelling story. There’s a reason we keep telling it. The conflict between kindness and Moral Authority, the idea that maybe the people in charge are the ones who’re wrong and the people they’ve rejected are both victim and hero all at once–yeah. There’s a lot there to connect with, and I wouldn’t want to take it away from anyone. But the compelling story I want, for me, is different.
I look at Crowley and I want a story about someone who absolutely has the capacity for cruelty and disseminating evil into the world. Somebody who’s actually really skilled at it, even if all he does is create opportunities, and humans themselves just keep living down to and even surpassing his expectations. Somebody who enjoys it, even. Maybe he was unfairly labeled and tossed out of heaven to begin with, but he’s embraced what he was given. He’s thrived. He is, legitimately, a bad person.
And he tries to save the world anyway. ©

Sending much love, you all stay safe Good Omens People
Bisous
Crowley’s got the aggressive cuddling down to an art.
a very intimidating demon!!!
Aziraphale!
The past few good omens pieces i’ve drawn i’ve had the same issue…I fully ink the piece and color it in, then i turn off the ink layer for some reason and end up liking the piece better without an outline. This means i have to go back and spend a couple hours fixing the edges the refining things to look cleaner without the outline. i think it might be the color palettes for the characters. they just look so nice on their own that i keep feeling like my inking is unnecessary. *shrug*
Okay, is it just me or in Reverse Omens history, wouldn’t the destruction of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon (if, indeed, they existed) not be to Angel!Crowley what the library fire at Alexandria is to canon Aziraphale?
