When I first read the books I didn't notice that Holmes laughs over 80 times! More adaptations should let Holmes and Watson laugh occasionally

Holmes asks Watson to look around the suspect's apartment. When Watson asks how he will get in Holmes replies "with a key". Watson asks if he has a key and Holmes jangles the keys at him in response
When there's a knock at the door to 221B Baker Street, Holmes invites Watson to deduce who it is. Watson says "I think it would be simpler if I just opened the door"

Inspector Lestrade is convinced that he has the murderer in custody, but Holmes wants him to reopen the case. Despite Lestrade's complaint that it is time for his lunch, Holmes insists there is no time to lose.

Watson soon forgets and uses the teapot, but Holmes refuses his cup because he has lightly poisoned himself from the teapot recently
Watson: "Confound it man, the tea is ruined!"
Holmes: "Well fair enough old man, but so is my poison!"
