The saddest part avout the ending of the main campaign for rdr2 is that after all of the work and sacrifice, everything Arthur does for his family and more specifically for John is in vain. The Pinkertons still find John, John gets dragged back into the outlaw life, both John and Abigail die, and then Jack is forced back into the Outlaw life.

okay what the fuck is going on today?

thanks for messaging me – this is 100% news to me 😂 I don’t really know whether to laugh or feel sick.

I do know why this is happening though. back in January (I think?) I made a post about how I don’t want transphobes or aphobes (people who harass asexual folk) following my cat blog. here’s a link to that. in response the anti-asexual community on tumblr tried to start a rumour that I was a pedophile. here’s a link to THAT. the 2 big blogs sending harassment my way were snakeg*y and someone else who’s url I’m forgetting.

I don’t think they believe the horeshit they’re shovelling. they just wanted to create a lie so foul and evil that even if it was false it would still leave a smear. and congrats to them I guess, it worked!

a few days ago I made a post about how being “popular” on tumblr inevitably leads to trauma from the nonstop harassment. here’s the link. turns out that was an extremely stupid thing for me to do, as it just encouraged my harassers to step up their abuse.

the tl;dr is NO, I DO NOT. I pissed off the anti-asexual subculture on tumblr by posting an asexual support post months ago, and they’ve been harassing me and spreading extremely vile rumours ever since.

this is gonna be controversial (lol), but y’all gotta remember blogs aren’t celebrities with their own PR teams.

if you find something a blogger said insensitive, it probably is! privilege & social environment leave way too many blindspots for that to never happen. and it’s super okay to alert people to their blindspots! but do so with the awareness that those not used to having their speech policed by strangers may respond with baffled defensiveness if you come at them aggressively.

and when that happens, whipping out the “you’re not the man I thought I married” speech, and giving yourself permission to go into full cuss-out beast mode is like………………unproductive and kinda mean-spirited

Bloggers have slowly shifted from ordinary people just goofing around and having fun on the internet to being held up as sort of low level public figures, but without any media training or assistance to manage that load.

And it’s a really weird transition because you can’t just talk to one friend publicly on your blog any more, you’re talking to one friend and thousands of people, and potentially thousands more which might go through your backlog in the future.
