“What I Believe”
by punbibi5658
It feels like life goes on while I’m under water, drowning. Still. Unable to speak, unable to move. Just frozen, waiting for someone to save me.
Depression is poisoning my brain each day.
I discovered that my childhood was so filled with uncertainty, being uncomfortable and never feeling safe that now as an adult I cannot sit in peace. I seek danger or situations that make me feel uncomfortable waiting for someone to “save” me. To give me peace. To allow me to be soft and vulnerable but also to give me safety and comfort. I seek intimacy because I see safety and comfort there. I seek physical touch as I was deprived of it as a child.
How do you take up space without making other people feel uncomfortable.
