AO3 Series: These Boots Have Seen Everything
Updates are weekly(usually Wednesdays)
~30; adult themes will appear in my work so please be at least 18+ if interacting with it/me.
Asks are always open!
This is Infernal Chronicles and I am the mastermind behind the blog TheFudog, in other circles I am usually called Fu. She/Her pronouns, a big old nerd, and a little nervous about doing this and putting my fic out there in the big wide world. I have been in fan spaces for 15-20 years but have mostly only lurked in Fanfiction spaces specifically. I'm a novice when it comes to ttrpgs but I love research when it comes to things I don't know. I will update this as I need to. I am against the use of AI in fan spaces including but not limited to writing and visual arts.
I only recently got into BG3 as I have a thing against getting invested in things that blow up in popularity. By some miracle I was able to dodge spoilers from the game until I finally played it. Then I found the next new problem; the obession I didn't know I would get playing it or falling in love with the well crafted(imo) character stories. If you haven't been able to tell yet Karlach is my favorite and I will not be taking any considerations to sway me against it lmfao.
Writings
Currently I only have the one long-fic but in the time I was beginning the novelization I had sequel ideas churning about... and my character building wouldn't be complete without deeply crafted backstory and history. So without further ado here's my work:

Updated every Wednesday
Rated: Mature
Pairing: Karlach/Tav
Regrettably: A slow burn
An on going longfic novelization of BG3 following the journey through the perspective of my tav named Abraxis. Abraxis is a tiefling rogue with a past that seems to be catching him a little by surprise after being abducted by a nautiloid. While at first it's innocent meetings among the tiefling refugees escaping Elturel. Somewhere he had spent some of his life, but the further things get in his journey the more things start to make more and less sense for his history.
This will include a lot of worldbuilding I am wanting to add to it including some rudimentary Infernal Language(Where the title comes from) I am making since in my research I found there wasn't a universal language from any D&D editions. Along with some unique tiefling specific biological factors I am toying with just to make the world more fun for myself and hopefully others that read along.

Shart-nanigans(Word count: 2,247)
One-shot
Rated: Teen
Pairing: Karlach/Tav but not the main focus
This was actually my first work after I had played through the House of Grief for the first time. I had also constantly been tickled by the common shortening of Shadowheart's name to Shart. Take my sadness and mix it with the fact I still laugh at poop humor even at my big age and I needed it to be an in universe thing as well. Throw a little alcohol into the mix and this it what came out. When I get back to the point in my long fic I might rewrite this to fit more smoothly. For now it was the first intro by writing Abraxis had to the BG3 universe, and encouraged me to spawn the long fic too.
Meet Abraxis
Abraxis is a tiefling of the Asmodeus bloodline. He is a rogue by trade though his journey to Baldur's Gate puts him in touch with his buried and unknown bardic side. His deepest weakness is his caretaker, Melinda, one of the few humans he has ever trusted as she did raise him like her own son through most of his childhood until he had to leave the rundown building they called home. He thinks about having left her there a lot. He is impulsive but not foolishly reckless most of the time and he feels a deep loyalty to his kin as they have been the ones to show him kindness the most out of anyone else he has come across in his travels.
Below I have taken time to add some lore related things as well as starting up a visual media section to chart his shenanigans and progress. Though don't come for me I know very much nothing of this VP stuff, but I am learning slowly.
The Little Menace
Childhood antics and chaos his poor caretaker had to put up with. These will all be snippets of him as a child so I apologize if he's not correctly written as a child, I know no children so I am guessing lmao.

Day 12- Wildcard NPC(The Emperor)
Deciding which NPC to pick for the last one in this event was a tough one because so many of them had an impact on Abraxis, but for as positive all the others tended to be; there needed to be a balance and show the negative.
Abraxis is a man that generally doesn't trust. Which is to be expected with how he came up and the world he lived in after he was 14. There is only one person he has always trusted and the Emperor expoilted that.
From the jump Abraxis wasn't fully sold when the Dream Visitor appeared wearing the face of his caretaker, however, because it was something so instinctual and the visits were between just the two of them he was more at ease than he should have been. He craved to see her face and talk to her again which was exactly what was needed, even when phrases were said in a way that wasn't true to how his caretaker was. He was aware of the manipulation but craving the interactions enough to push the warning feelings away.
At the Creche, after the githyanki told him to go into the Prism and face the 'threat' he was once again face to face with his caretaker that wasn't his caretaker. After pleading with him to see reason it was the blade offered to him to strike down the imposter that made it worse. He knew they were a fraud, challenged them there about it, but couldn't bring himself to kill someone wearing her face even when he knew it wasn't really her.
When they were nearing Baldur's Gate and the gith attacked, leading to a portal being opened, allowing them to escape through the Astral Realm again, and guided to the skull rock that had been there each time he was shocked and angry to learn a mind flayer was behind the thing. He wasn't surprised, just angry. Yet still he didn't fight the mind flayer demanding an explanation and learning of what was actually protecting them from cerimorphosis.
After that, what was mild tension regarding their protector was deepened. He, grudgingly, continued the alliance because even though he had been used, they were still being protected. He was deeply disturbed when the Emperor tried to make a pass at him in one of their next dream visits only for the mind flayer to show him what they were capable of from past dealings. It only deepened his growing anger and resentment.
Then, facing Ansur, near the end of the crisis and learning more about the mind flayer's original identity as the hero and founder of the city, he was devastated. Abraxis had idolized the tales of Balduran and Ansur his caretaker read to him. It hit him deep to learn the hero was now what it had become, and manipulated him through most of their journey.
In the end, Abraxis went against the Emperor and freed Orpheus. In the final showdown though, he gave the killing blow to Lae'zel as it was her kin that had suffered the most at the hands of Ilithids.

“Great,” Astarion moaned from where he lounged in his tent. “Now we have a budding bard among us. Though, I hardly think we should be surprised.”
“Meaning?” Abraxis challenged
“You are a strikingly handsome man. Should you not have been a bard already? I'm sure the tavern folk would be all over you.”
“And that automatically means I am useless? You aren't one to talk.”
“I am simply saying, rather like me, you talk and walk a certain way. By all accounts you should be a bard.”
“Then so should you.”
“And how do you know I am not,” Astarion asked, flicking his hand.
“You couldn't be bothered to do it,” he shrugged.
Astarion smiled slightly before turning to occupy his attention with his nails, “So which house is it?”
“Which house is what?”
“Which Upper City family do you belong to?”
Abraxis froze for a moment. Clearing his throat as he moved the lute, getting to his feet and shaking his head.
“None.”
Astarion scoffed, not the only one watching him.
He shrugged, “Everyone knows a tiefling child in an Upper City family would have been splashed across the Gazette for years. I simply was a good guild runner for the Upper City. I watched, to blend in. Picked up some habits that stuck I guess.”
“No one in the Upper City would name their kid Abraxis,” Karlach added from where she was sitting. He turned to look at her for a moment, feeling her reading him as she spoke. “That's a Lower or Outer City name. Slang for us but I knew a few families that gave it to their babies.”
Abraxis nodded as he looked away. Not liking that if felt like she was lying along with him, without knowing the whole thing. Even if they were kin, he didn't want to put her in that position.
“Right,” Astarion sighed, unconvinced.
“He fights too rough to be a properly taught fighter too?” Karlach shrugged. “Doubt a paladin would teach some gold-licker to fight like he does. It would be all about ‘pose and stance. Center the core’.”
“Those are all valid training techniques,” Lae'zel chimed in, indignantly.
My drafts are so far ahead I'm writing the Underdark section.
Me: *Drafting the Omeluum bit with the potion for him to assess the worm to be specific. Trying to understand the sensory of the potion as it's explained for passing the con check.*

Day 11- Minthara
I don't have much to add to this day, I haven't decided if she is present past the Goblin Camp in his fic or not, but I do have the picture above. And it's a solid image of how I imagine what their interactions/relationship could be.
So currently:
Abraxis dropped a bookshelf on her after Shovel got up to some tomfoolery in the depths of the camp against the Scrying eye. This of course followed after he played into her hand hoping to get some information out of her. During their interaction she referred to him as a whelp after defaulting to assuming Karlach was actually the one in charge of the group.

Day 10- Halsin
If Abraxis was to be completely honest, he would say Halsin is the closest thing to a true paternal figure he's ever had.
When he agreed to rescue Halsin when seeking out the goblin camp he wasn't sure what he was expecting but it certainly wasn't a burly Wood Elf. Let alone one that had the comforting presence of a child's stuffed toy. Seeing the man-bear in combat while taking out the final of the goblin camp leaders allowed Abraxis to see that while Halsin had a calming demeanor about him it didn't make him less formidable in combat when needed. It was during the conclusion of the siege of the Goblin Camp that Halsin's care and calm was most present as Abraxis has sustained a serious wound. Between the druid and Shadowheart's healing there was little concern when the dust settled for Abraxis' health.
The way Halsin handled Kagha was the only thing he truly disagreed with but also recognized he had little place to tell the druid how to run his Grove. The morning after the Tiefling Party Halsin joined the group to travel with them to Moonrise Tower, even knowing of the plan to go to the creche first.
It was when they finally reached the Underdark that Abraxis took Halsin's comforting advice after a nearly fatal day in the Grymforge. This led to a soft bond forming between the men that was fostered. After saving the Shadowcursed Lands, Thaniel, and Oliver they parted ways so Halsin could help rebuild the area and the rest of the party could push ahead to Baldur's Gate. They agreed to keep in touch through the end of the Absolute and for the time that followed afterwards.
This picture makes me laugh. He's got a -1 on strength checks and still tries to do the strong things 😂
He failed both the religion and strength check. Thankfully Shadowheart came in clutch and passed the religion check, now he has a musical Drow sword to swing about.
Karlach clicked her tongue and grinned, “Rotten luck, Soldier. Mummy’s got you in trouble.”
“Good,” Abraxis squinted to block the sun as he looked back up at Shadowheart. “I wanted to check on things around here anyway. And talk to Dammon with Karlach about her engine.”
Shadowheart's jaw twitched as she breathed through his reply.
“But, since we know that saying something could turn physical,” he smirked. “That means you'll have to be the one to break the news to Lae'zel. Our trip to the creche is going to be delayed.”
He swore he saw her eye actually twitch. Hurrying to his feet, stumbling over them afraid of what she might actually do in reaction. Laughing as he caught himself. His stomach squeezed for a moment and his vision swam, though not nearly as aggressively as the night before. He took the ladder down slowly as he moved towards their little camp, chuckling to himself.
“You really are trouble,” Karlach's amused voice joined him moments later.
Her heat seeped into the air around them.
“You say that like it's a bad thing,” he laughed.
“Hardly. Means you and I are gonna get on just fine while we sort out this worm nonsense. You're the exact kind of trouble I'd have run with as a kid. Where are you from originally?”
His steps slowed for a breath.
“Baldur’s Gate, but I…uh, I was sheltered, surprisingly enough. For most of my youth,” the half-truth felt like lead in his stomach.
“That's too bad,” she gave him a soft smile, knowing in her eyes.
He looked down as they entered the camp space again.
“Shadowheart took off like a lark this morning looking for you,” Gale mused.
“She found me, don't worry,” Abraxis smiled.
He sat down among his bag and bedroll, opening his pack and digging around for nothing. Shadowheart, herself returned a few minutes after them.
This stands for all kids, especially the tiefling kids, but Mol sticks out the most for him as a whole.
Abraxis recognizes parts of himself in Mol. Not just tiefling to tiefling, but the deeper part. The part that was raised on the streets learning that the only person that could look out for them was themselves. kids shaped by the streets. She sneaks up on him one of the nights early while camping in the Emerald Grove. He sees her story in the scars visible to everyone first. The way she talks older than she is. It breaks his heart. He wouldn't dream of telling her what to do as he respects her hussle and the fact that all the other kids look to her guidance.
However, nothing terrified him more than seeing her playing Lance Board with Raphael at the Last Light Inn. He knew exactly why the devil sought her out among any other, because of her ambition and childish naivety. He ran interference as much as he could to protect her and piss Raphael off without it seeming like he was protecting Mol. He was quietly terrified when, during the attack on the inn, Mol was taken prisoner.
After the siege on Moonrise, his fear deepened to devastation when they only found her eyepatch in the mind flayer colony, he feared the worst. Though, that was remedied before it into a new kind of concern when he saw her again in Nine-Finger's guildhall looking better than before. She was cagey about her escape which was what tipped him off to Raphael likely playing a role. The confirmation came when they stormed the House of Hope.
In the days leading to the conclusion of the fight against the Absolute, he made plans to pay a tuition type of deal to Nine-Finger's in order to quietly support the guild boss teaching Mol the ropes. He didn't want the girl to know he was looking out for her, but he wanted to give her chances to safely(as safe as criminal activity could be) learn the real deal of underground working and maybe one day actually be able to reach the goal she had of running the guild.
Abraxis holds high respect for Lae'zel, though it was a little hard won. Her blunt upfront nature when they met on the nautiloid and the expectation that he would default to her because of her commanding say so led to an interesting first impression of her, though he did trust her judgement as she seemed a bit more well versed with the mind flayers than he did. Even that early on he refused to bow to her entirely, setting aside the time to free Shadowheart from her locked pod before the three of them pushed forward for the helm of the ship.
Hours after waking up, following the crash, he and the other two with him(Shadowheart and Gale) stumbled across her held in a cage by other tieflings. He immediately jumped to a bit more of the defensive goading when she told him to free her, snidely asking her to at least 'say please'. Instead of letting her down kindly he went for the more entertaining path, cutting the rope and letting her free fall for a moment. That began the path of Shadowheart and Lae'zel's would be regular sniping at one another leading to him goading them both as a stress reliever.
For the majority of their first leg of their journey together, Abraxis' relationship was tense and more a mutual working relationship as she was single minded and focused on getting to her creche while he was taking detours constantly. He respected her first as a warrior. It wasn't before their siege at the goblin camp that he found the way to communicate best with her outside of fight planning was to give as bluntly as she gave.
Reaching the creche in time, seeing githyanki as a species and seeing their near tyrannical ways, put a lot into perspective for him around Lae'zel and their journey there specifically let him see that she did at times hide behind bravado. He was a bit surprised that she did begin to default to his suggestions when interacting with Voss, she kept her thoughts about him offering to take the egg that hadn't hatched to herself for a while even though he handed it straight away to her. He was worried after the creche and a mass casualty event brought on by his sticky fingers, she would leave but she didn't.
When the crisis with the Absolute ended, she left to lead Orpheus' rebellion and Abraxis was not only proud of her growth but sad to see her leave. The next time he would see her was the reunion party, she as a projection, as they both were in tense workings of their own. He's not sure he'd quite classify her as a sister like he does Shadowheart, but he holds high respect for her and would always want her watching his back in a fight.
I have no reason to have made this other than I laughed about the concept for way too long when I thought of it. It's just their take on this gag.
Snapshots by @rdekarios was used to make this, as well as my first use of Lighty Lights, my light and somewhat rusty photoshop skills, and some comic template I got off of google.
Thank you again to @emmyandthetieflings for inviting me to join this event! This event is being hosted by @mascgatemayhem.
Abraxis is a rogue who is well practiced in thievery. For the first 14 years of his life he was raised by his lone human caretaker, Melinda, in a drafty rundown wing of his biological family's estate in the Upper City of Baldur's Gate. He is the only tiefling in his family and had little interaction with his kind as a child growing up, though his caretaker managed to take him to some things in the Lower City to get him exposure to tieflings it was still unfortunately lacking.
At 14 he left the wing and his caretaker for living on the streets in the Lower City after his father attempted to dehorn him. It's on the street where he named himself Abraxis and shed his birth name entirely. He remained there building underground and criminal connections, learning how to steal and survive, until his father paid him to leave the city through Melinda. He took the money and began traveling up and around parts of the Sword Coast
Day 7- Astarion
Abraxis held suspicion for Astarion from the jump. When he, Gale, Lae'zel and Shadowheart encountered him it was a tense stand off and Abraxis was on edge enough to see through the ploy Astarion was trying to set, to an extent. He figured some of that was one rogue seeing another. The tense stand off led to know bloodshed that day and even despite his reservations Abraxis extended a travel invite to Astarion. Through their entire travels Abraxis could not say they ever forged anything close to a friendship and it was simply a working relationship, they had a common goal: removing their tadpoles.
Despite it all, the night Astarion said he needed to drink blood, announcing his vampirism, Abraxis let him. Though it brought repressed memories of his own to the surface. When they reached Baldur's Gate, things reached their climactic end between the two. Abraxis stood his ground understanding Astarion's hurt as much as he could but refused to give the vampire what he wanted. Their journey together ended that day and the guilt still eats at Abraxis despite knowing he couldn't do more to achieve a different end.
Thank you @emmyandthetieflings for inviting me to join this event! This event is being hosted by @mascgatemayhem.
No pressure tag to @tcustodisart, I know they have a male tav and am quietly in love with their work.

Below the cut is my catch up for the event(Day 1-6)!
Wyll
Abraxis understands Wyll. They are both of noble blood and for one reason or another are not known to the public at their father's sons. He also knew of Wyll's feats as The Blade of Frontiers and "The Boy Hero" as a Baldurian himself. Their friendship starts off a bit rocky but Abraxis owes his meeting of Karlach, though misguided to Wyll. The shared fact of being infernal touched is another point that builds their friendship, Abraxis offers his ear to Wyll after Mizora's punishment to help the hero accept his new reality. Abraxis understands physical appearance based rejection well. While Wyll is the first he even vaguely admits noble blood to, he's not the first to learn it all.
Their bond strengthens the most once they reach Baldur's Gate and their past and families come knocking in the ways they do. He would happily march into a fight at Wyll's side and knows the warlock would have his back.
Karlach
He might very well try and become a poet to put into words what he wants the world to know about Karlach. He was originally immediately drawn to her because she's a tiefling too but also because he didn't have to fight to understand the pain she bears. Not because he's been through the same, but he knows all too well about masking pain. She's chaotic and that's where they forge their friendship first, two scrappy kids ready to brawl.
She becomes his truest and deepest confidant within the group as they travel. She helps him connect with their species's culture and language, and that in a way helps her settle back into a life and mindset that isn't all war and horror of her captivity. There is not one thing about her that had him falling for her, it's truly just the truth of her soul that captivates him. She's authentically herself and it breaks through every wall he had leading to him telling her everything when he finally accepts he has let himself be so vulnerable around her, that he trusts her so fully.
Wildcard NPC(Dammon)
These two met while Abraxis was living in Elturel, during his early-mid 20s. Dammon was the local smith Abraxis traded or bought from. They really barely knew each other as it was a strictly business based relationship but still enough trust was built for Abraxis' comfort to interact. Most of the time Abraxis would bring old or otherwise acquired weapons and armor to Dammon for patch work or scrap metal. Abraxis left Elturel a few years before The Descent.
When they met again in the Emerald Grove after Abraxis was abducted and given a mind flayer tadpole, he was happy to see Dammon again and even surprised he was memorable to the other tiefling. Catching up with Dammon and learning of his time in Avernus paid off quickly in that Abraxis was more than willing to bridge the meeting between Dammon and Karlach for her engine. This continued their working relationship and deepened his trust in the smith to the point where Abraxis might actually call him a friend.
Gale
Abraxis originally was sure what to make of Gale. His introduction caught him a bit by surprise given his other prior companions(Shadowheart and Lae'zel) were uniquely prickly in their own right. He was very unsure and suspicious of Gale's orb predicament as he's had his own shakey love-hate relationship with magic. As they spend more time together it remains rocky in the wilderness. Abraxis had never had someone quite like Gale to work with long term. Gale's eccentricity was enough to throw him off on its own but the need to consume magic put him on edge.
Once he understands the history of the orb it doesn't fully assuage his concerns but he had something to go off of. Because Abraxis has little experience with all of that it left him prone to easy frustration in the early days of their travels. Not to mention he couldn't help but read an air of superiority in the wizard early on when Gale spoke of magic, even if it was not intended or known to be there.
By the time their journey together ends, he trusts Gale and is proud of their journey and friendship that comes from it.
Shadowheart
She's his favorite person to poke and goad playfully. His favorite thing to do is play the part of the annoying little brother with her.
True enough the pair are the ones that have traveled together the longest if even only by a few hours. They met on the nautiloid and Abraxis helped her out of the pod despite Lae'zel's protest. On the beach after the crash, he did consider leaving her and trying to steal the artifact from her. His quiet kindness won out and instead woke her and thus began the next leg of their journey together. He wouldn't call their starting relationship combative but in hindsight he can admit they were both sizing each other up. When they rescued Lae'zel from the trap and tieflings he saw a gold mine opportunity to bother both women and has exploited it for a quick laugh a few times.
He respects her and although he knew little about Shar worshippers he knew they are generally bad news. Despite that he had put his trust in her and vice versa. He is not one to judge people on their choices in life as he has no high ground to stand on for it. Even if he didn't agree with her on things he was quick to realize part of her struggles were a deep indoctrination. He's also not religious so knows little more than what was told to him by his caretaker growing up. By the time they reached Baldur's Gate he considers her a sister.
Wildcard NPC(Zevlor)
Like Dammon, Abraxis met Zevlor while living in Elturel. Unlike Dammon, he hardly knew the older tiefling and thought the man was a traitor to their kin.
They met after Abraxis found himself in a bar fight with a drunk Torm paladin. The fight was brief but left Abraxis with a scarred face. Being among the Hellriders to get to the bar and break up the fight, Zevlor was the one that arrested Abraxis and took him to the cell for the night. They spoke very few words between them, Abraxis' were all venom and betrayal for his, at the time, nameless jailer. Since Abraxis had fought back in defense of himself but was the one punished. Zevlor didn't feed into the anger but did offer what he could to help Abraxis clean the wound on his face.
The next time the two meet was at the Emerald Grove. Abraxis stepped in and stops Zevlor from, righteously in his opinion, knocking Aradin's teeth in because of how that might have gone over. It's through Zevlor that Abraxis learned of the tieflings plight and the fate of Elturel. They formed a mutual respect for each other that benefits them both through to the end of the crisis with the Absolute.
Fanden and Therran as part of the BG3 Masc Tav event
I'm so sorry for the delay on this, thank you for tagging me @spillingteanotpermitted !
Fanden and Therran are twins who were separated at birth because their horrific birth mom only wanted one baby, not two. She left Therran out to die at birth, and eventually abandoned Fanden and "promised him a better life" because she was promised a ton of money by the Bhaal cult. Fanden was then adopted by the same woman who found Therran on the streets, and they were reunited. Many many years later, they discovered Emmy was their little sister.
However, Emmy and Kairon were the ones taken on the nautiloid. Not the twins. They DID become in contact / friends with the companions after becoming beyond close with their sister. 🫡
I skipped the first two days, so I'll be writing Wyll and Karlach!💖
1. Wyll
Fanden and Therran are decent friends with him, but never actually had the opportunity to become close. In my fic, he's the Blade of Avernus, so he's always going back to fight in the Hells. They don't get to see him much. I will be strengthening their bond though and having them become besties at some point.
2. Karlach
Shortly after the twins discover Emmy is their sister and their bond is like no other, Therran and Karlach instantly click. In fact, they are introduced at Emmy's baby shower and sparks practically started to fly. Now, they're married and have baby Delsii. Of course, Fanden is close with Karlach because she's married to his twin brother. Fanden gives her a lot of shit though (in a playful way).
Tagging @infernal-chronicles ! I don't really know many others who have a masculine tav.

“You’ve had radiant damage before, yes?” Shadowheart asked.
He nodded, an ache pricking at his horn, “A few times.”
“Then I needn’t remind you what to expect?”
He nodded again, “Just do it.”
She placed her glowing hand on his cut. Pain catching in his throat as it jolted through his whole body for a moment elongating the time so that it felt like hours. His stomach spasmed. Feeling every inch of skin seal the icy fire below it. Leaning forward, hanging his head between his knees as the world spun around him.
“That’s all I can do for it,” she almost sounded apologetic.
“It’s fine,” he choked out between heaves. “T-thank you.”
“Catch your breath, eat, gain your bearings. Then we’ll move.”
He nodded, feeling eyes lingering on him as the sounds of Karlach’s secondary rampage came to an end inside.
“I might look around inside,” Gale hummed, carefully moving around Abraxis. “See if there’s anything left to salvage after our fiery friend finishes.”
“All yours, Soldier,” Karlach’s voice held a smile.
Her boots crunched as she moved, the smell of a stoked fire following after her. Allowing Abraxis to track her movements without having to look. He felt a light tap on his shoe.
“How’s Scrappy doing?” she asked.
“I’ll be good as gold in a minute,” he lied.
She snorted, “I ain’t seen a fight like that in 10 years. Hells, I was the cause of a few of them back then. Felt good to know there’s people like that still out here.”
He sat up, leaning back against the steps, stifling a groan as the world spun again. Blinking and focusing on her. The flames were still there. Her chest was still glowing. Maybe he had hit his head hard. Two headbutts in one fight…
“You’re staring, Soldier,” she smirked.
“Sorry, there’s…there’s like two and a half of you. And you’re glowing.”
“The multiples is a problem,” she nodded. “Not the glowing.” She rapped against her own fire scarred chest, metal clanging in time with it. “Infernal engine for a heart. Burns hot as the hells, but has been in overdrive since I left Avernus.”
She was boasting about it, a tinge of concern where its running power came in, but she was proud of it. Or wanted people to think she was. He wanted to ask, but knew it wasn’t likely an ideal conversation she wanted to have. Especially not after the simple mention of Avernus caused a near meltdown.
I only recently got into this game and it's ruined my life in the best way! Part of me is glad I waited so long but also mad I waited so long. It's the reason I have attempted for the first time in a long time writing and sharing a fic. I can't get enough of this game!
Please enjoy a few hand picked images of my beloved tav I have dabbled with in photo mode. Also big thanks to @emmyandthetieflings for giving me a place to start for modding and VP, I'm still learning but it was huge for me to reach out and ask for help. She has been so kind the few times we have spoken! ❤️
