So all of them were disgusted by his behaviours.

Glenn, Corey and Heath also felt guilt because they didn’t do anything about it, blamed Jody for Simon crying, not yelling at Simon to shut up and grow a backbone

Jody deals with paranoia a lot, she keeps out of the media scene so Simon won’t find her. She keeps her hair short because Simon always grabbed her by the hair when she tried to run away or go stand further away from him. She’s too nervous to grow it out, no matter how much she wants too

Noelle, Jody’s girlfriend, is very concerned for Jody, she doesn’t like that this creep made the girl she loves a paranoid wreck. Noelle does her best to make sure she feels safe, she even tries to encourage her to grow her hair out, since she knows how much she misses it.

Opal and Taylor helped the best they could during their time on World Tour, standing between Jody and Simon, Taylor offered Jody her jacket, when Jody felt uncomfortable in her swimsuit.

Evan becomes Jody’s bodyguard at this point

All the girls did they’re absolute best to keep Jody away from Simon, Alejandra attempts had second motives behind it, but by All Stars she was on board of beat the daylights out of the stalker creep

Lincoln was technically the first to clue into Simon stealing Jody’s stuff when he noticed Jody’s lipstick colour is a different shade or red then the one she usually wore.

Danika our feminist queen would straight up punch or kick Simon every chance she gets

I’ve seen so many takes like “Oh if i could change All Stars i would make Mal a better villain!” like tbh I wouldn’t even want him to be a better villain, or to be “villainous” at all. Heather and Alejandro being a duo of villains during AS would’ve been pretty cool.

But honestly what I would’ve done with Mal would be that Mal went dormant after going to juvie because the system started healing through therapy/psychiatry and communication with the other alters and the trauma they endured from being on Total Drama and then being put right back in those situations in All Stars caused him to slowly come back from dormancy thinking they’re in some sort of danger. And he’s back in that extremist “I need to protect us” mindset which is why he tries to push everyone else away by sabotaging them/why he tries to keep the other alters from fronting—he wants to keep them safe and can only communicate that through harshness/harmful ways because that’s truly how he believes he can keep himself safe.

Anyway, he was dormant during ROTI and probably doesn’t know he’s on TV, which would likely scare him more. He doesn’t even want to win, he wants to get out of that situation because he constantly thinks he’s in danger and will fight back by turning on everyone around him, including the rest of the system. He genuinely thinks that being rough and harsh and hurting himself/othets is the only way to survive. Or even if he just sabotaged people in hopes that he’d get voted off and get to go home and he’s just insanely unlucky and had to go to the finals. Maybe he doesn’t even bother trying to impersonate Mike, and if he does, it’s because he doesn’t want anyone to know he exists so he can at least protect himself. Idk I’m still mulling it over.

Also, he doesn’t just “disappear” in the end either because the reset button was one of the worst concepts ever written into television so…idk maybe the other alters confront him at the end and he ends up giving up some control towards the end, but he still fronts when the system feels like they’re in danger. I do like to think that Mal either goes dormant again through healing post show, or he’s able to redeem himself and his role shifts to more of a protector than a persecutor. I do headcanon that the system gets more help post show because they do want to heal, and that Mike’s internalized ableism is addressed/somewhat resolved

it really does annoy me that people keep equating "special interest" with "encyclopedic knowledge." annoys me that people keep equating "autistic" with "super awesome at researching to acquire encyclopedic knowledge on their special interest." hey guys can i hand you this

the symptom/trait/whatever of "special interest" is in my opinion much more accurately labeled restrictive interests. its one thing to be super excited and obsessed with something. its another when youre unable to hold attention on really anything else and its the only thing you can talk about. it causes disruptions. its not always detrimental to your wellbeing but i think its important to keep the focus more on this impact

the way an individual experiences special/restricted interests will vary wildly. this can be collecting information thats kept memorized and easily accessed to repeat later, or its just the only thing occupying your mind regardless of how you express that, etc etc etc its Wide

> cats are 100% a special interest, with the warriors series and my own ocs for it as an extension of it. warriors are the only books ive read consistently since i was 8. cats, warriors, and my warriors ocs are at the center of my life and identity (says tumblr user felidthing). this is a life-defining feature of myself that i work with and around to communicate with other people. sometimes im unable to connect with people properly because i cant reach them through cats or warriors or my chemical romance or art. my interests are Restrictive.

this has been said in many ways by many people, but the perception on tumblr of autism/autistic people is extremely narrow, only highlighting the easiest to deal with, most likeable, most digestible versions of the closest-to-allistic symptoms. autism covers a large spectrum of traits and often comes along with other conditions/disorders/etc, but its frequently ignored that its a developmental disorder that often impacts several areas of one's life, not just social issues.

I need more Kunidazai content where it’s acknowledged that Dazai’s like 90% of Kunikida’s impulse control. When it boils down to it and lives are on the line Dazai is the calculated methodical planner and Kunikida is the one impulsively grabbing a bomb and diving out of a plane without warning.
