The Mistress blinked several times in faux innocence- “And here I am, trying to get involved in your planet’s traditions! No wonder I turn to villainy, when Earth culture is so difficult to be involved in.” The idea that Missy was trying to get involved in tradition was a bit of a stretch- but to be fair, she had been trying to find out just how immediate the effects of Valentines day were. From what she’d gathered, people just kissed a lot more, and Clara was a pretty enough testing candidate. Besides, she thought privately, it’s funny.
