So, uh... hey there! My name is Infrasound, most refer to me as Infra for short, and uh... I’m a purple derg. A portly one at that.

I come for companionship, hugs, general douchebaggery, a bit of memery, snacks, hugs, self-betterment, something to scroll through in my free time that isn’t Instagram or Twitter, friendship, hugs, and an overall good time.

If you’re interested in any of what I’ve listed above, I think we’re gonna get along swimmingly!

There’s something really nice about finding some niche little thing that sticks out to you and running with it.

For example: I’ve recently been playing a game where you develop your own dungeon for adventures to try and beat. You can organize the rooms however you want, put monsters wherever, decorate the rooms to your liking, et cetera. Only limits are the money you earn, the space you have in those rooms, and your imagination.

But among all the monsters you can have wandering your halls, all the traps you can set up to catch adventures off guard, all the chests and pots you can have collecting your gold, all the gruesome decor you can have strewn about any which way… one of the funniest things you can unlock is a goblin that runs a lil’ burger stand.

Like, if you really wanted to… you can just have a big room off to the side, filled with these goblin burger stands, and have your own lil’ McDonalds or something. At any point your adventurers need a bite to eat, someplace to recover health and energy, there they are; your lil’ green bois making fresh burgers for them.

You go, goblins. Keep being your silly lil’ selves. And make mine with extra onions, please.

So I’m just takin’ an evening stroll, right? I see a rabbit further up the sidewalk. Before I can react, it bounds all the way across the street to another patch of grass.

This rabbit got me thinkin’ back to high school, like how I’d sit down at a table during lunch and all the other kids would glare at me, get up simultaneously, and walk halfway across the cafeteria to a different table.

That’s just how I brain some nights, man.

Y’know earworm, right? Where you hear a song and get it stuck in your head for a while?

Well, while I do get that, I don’t get it quite as often as what I like to call “reverse earworm.”

Basically, I’ll be doing my own thing for a while, then somehow my ADHD-ridden brain makes the slightest connection to the lyrics of some random song I remember, but only that little chuck — usually the refrain. So, I’ll have to go out of my way to pull up that song, listen to it a time or two to get the rest of the song down for the time being, then go back to what I was doing previously.

And then it starts again with a completely different song. The cycle never stops.

Me: *shopping around in a new age store*

Clerk: “Oooo! That’s a lovely stone you’ve picked out there! Gonna use it for a ritual?”

Me: “Maybe. Haven’t decided yet.”

Me, at home later: *sets the stone on the shelf with the others, because shinies make my brain go brrr*

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I need to talk about this.

So. I’ve been playing DragonVale again recently. If you played mobile games at all about ten years ago, you might’ve heard of it. And yes, it’s still alive and kicking — until I share this story with you, then you may think otherwise.

See, in DragonVale, there’s a structure you can build called the Dragon Track — basically a big ol’ race track for dragons. Every day, you can play up to ten races, using one of your dragons against four AI opponents, and getting third place or better will give you prizes for winning the race.

Each track has between two and four elements assigned to it. Dragons that share the elements of the track will typically fare better than those that don’t, so it’s recommended to follow the element typing, thus it’s recommended to get as many different dragon combinations as possible for the best results.

I just did a race called the Moonlit Marathon. It used the Earth and Cold elements, so naturally I sent in my Glacier dragon (his name is Berg). The track boots up, and it’s this big ol’ chonky boi…

…versus four Phantom dragons. Three babies, one adult.

To be clear, Phantom dragons only share the Cold element, not Earth. And true to their name, they are literally dragon phantoms.

I’ve beaten the track with Berg a handful of times already, and probably done a couple hundred races in total (new save and all), and this has never happened before. Did the AI bots somehow choose the exact same dragon for the race? Or did I actually stumble across a haunted race track in DragonVale?

For those of you who don’t get anything I’m talking about, let me give you an analogy:

Let’s say Usain Bolt — if not that insanely fast cameraman — is about to race at the Olympics. He goes up to starting line, and finds he’s racing against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Somehow, he wins against these ghastly specters, and lives to tell the tale.

I’m still shook just thinking about it.

Is tumblr easier to use and less toxic than twitter? And I’m glad to be at the platform where half of the best posts come from now.

Easier to use? Relatively, but still debatable.

Less toxic? For the most part.

You’re not wrong though, a lot of good posts come from Tumblr. PM Seymour confirmed that a long time ago.

Finally decided to use this thing again. And I’m gonna start by sharing something fun.

I went out of town today and visited one of those New Age shops. And I found the CUTEST thing ever.

There’s a company called Axol & Friends, that make plushies of endangered animals with recycled materials. Half of the purchase goes to youth groups, and they went out and planted some trees because of my actions.

I bought this lil’ dude. Not my picture, but still a cute. He so fuggin’ SQUISHY!!!

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season, spent time with friends and family, got nice gifts, et cetera.

Someone decided I needed three new pairs of gloves for Christmas. Like, what do I look like, Lady Gaga?

If I haven’t said it before, I’ll say it now. Michael Jackson is a furry and nothing can tell me otherwise.

If Spike was his own design, and not just the fabrication of Will Vinton, then he has an actual fursona and has gotten an artistic portrayal of them in the media.

And that’s just another reason why I love that crazy son of a gun. He’s the good kind of uncensored.
