Starting to notice that every single time a Queer show comes out, it immediately gets demonized like it was a step by step manual on how to summon the devil and start a cult.

Every time, especially if it becomes mainstream.

Fandoms will start throwing out words like normalize, demonize, romanticize, problematic, acting like they are starting some kind of moral movement to make the world a better place - They are just homophobic.

Now people who actually want to critique the writing exist, but by joining the homophobes to trash the show, they are ensuring that there will be even more reluctance to ever greenlight a queer show.

“We want better writing.” Maybe you do, but a good part of the audience just wants it GONE!

And you realize this because they will never be satisfied no matter what that queer show does, no matter how much success it makes, meanwhile, straight shows get away with doing even worse.

Game of thrones and its many sisters, Family Guy, Big Mouth, inappropriate jokes, inappropriate scenes, inappropriate everything. But it’s straight, so it’s fine. It’s not problematic it’s just ‘realistic’.

But Queer shows must be sanitized, perfect, flawless and NEVER problematic. Because Queer people are not allowed to just be people, they must be a commodity that fits into a cute little box to ever be accepted by society. And it disgusts me.

They don’t want better writing. They want Queerness gone from television.
