but to be fair in don’t starve deerclops shows up the night 5 days before winter ends and it’s indeed the night 5 days before winter ends in my timezone

i was unintentionally LORE ACCURATE 💥💥

Demonite.

It and its crimson counterpart are resources most reliable for any Terrarian once they’re brave enough to dive into their worlds’ evils. When Sally finds she’s running low on the stuff and sees everyone who could mine it is busy, she takes it upon herself, but with… an unconventional extra pair of hands to speed up the process. Lucky.

Sally always had a distrust for Lucky — they are practically a cartoon come to life after all. Wherever they’d go, shenanigans happened to ensue, and it went against her proper and organized way of going about things as important as gathering resources. Unfortunately they were the only one available to help, and Sally would soon realize her mistake as Lucky didn’t know what her digging claws looked like…

With the strange antlered relic in hand, it isn’t long until they start to feel… odd.

Struggling against their growing body, burgeoning fur, and enlarging antlers that all led to upticks in weight difficult to easily adapt to, they try to scramble to the teleporter before it’s too late.

… Emphasis on try, as they trip over their newly-formed hooves just shy of the teleporter.

A good couple of minutes pass and Sally starts to realize something is afoot. Lucky should’ve been with her by now… hell, they should’ve joined her minutes ago! She brings out her Magic Mirror to teleport back to base, and upon making her way back, she hears bellowing and groaning just outside her base. There’s no way those beasts are here NOW, it’s not the right time of day, or the right time of year at that!

Sprinting out the door with spread wings, she lets the wind take her to the skies to easily find the source of the sound… and when she hears it coming from just outside her storage building, her panic increases. Already as she flies her way there, she can see a plume of… familiar black and white fur on an unfamiliar and way too large body.

Due to her flustered state, it isn’t until she lands when she sees it. The reason why Lucky was so late, and the source of the deep groaning.
