âAs individuals, theyâre deadly. As an army, theyâre hilariously incompetent.â
I nodded my head, but stared at the geese in fear. I knew that they were plotting- I could see it in their eyes. One day, they will destroy us.Â

Story Idea:
I was playing around with a story plot generator. The story ideas that this comes up with? Priceless stuff.
Hereâs my favorite plot so far:
When a firefighter from Grand Rapids develops a fear of ducks, not everybody is supportive. However, his fortunes improve when his tutor slices the head off an enemy. It turns out the firefighter is aging backward. The few survivors have to leave in a space rocket.

how to study subject you hate?
1. Stop seeing it as something you hate. Start looking at more difficult subjects as obstacles that you will overcome.
2. Remember that there is no growth without difficulty. This is a chance for you to better yourself. This is a chance for you to develop the work ethic that will define you for years to come.
3. Set specific goals, then break those goals into steps. I try to break them into steps that can be accomplished in 30 minutes or less. After writing down the steps, start knocking them out one at a time. You'll be able to watch yourself progressing through the course, and that will give you motivation.
4. Find someone to hold you accountable for your grade, and for the amount of time you spend studying. A friend who won't be hard on you, but who will remind you to go and study if you need them to.
5. Study. Just study and get it done. Don't be the person who decides not to try, because something is hard. Be the person who overcomes any challenge that stands in their way. You'll be proud of that one day.
The early mornings, the late nights, all of the sacrifices you have made, are going to be worth it. Keep studying.
Value
You are not your grades.
You are not your math skills, your writing skills, or social skills.
You are not what others think of you.
Your value doesnât come from the letters on your report card or the numbers on your GPA.
Those things? Yeah, theyâre cool. But, donât let yourself get caught up in them. Donât place your identity in them. Instead, place your value in something that is worth far more. Let your identity be in your kindness, your generosity, and in the way you serve the people around you. Let it be in your dedication, your enthusiasm, your desire to make the world around you a little better than you found it.Â
You are worth so much more than any number or letter that a teacher could write on your paper. Never forget that.
exam is in 7 hours. last push.Â
You got this!!!
What Am I Trying to Prove?
Someone recently asked me what I was trying to prove by working so hard. Me? Iâm not trying to prove anything, Iâm just trying to change the world. Iâm studying, because I know that if I want to change something, then this is the way to get there. Â
You want to live in better circumstances then you are in now? Study. You want your children to grow up in a better situation than you had? Study. You want your parents to be proud of the person youâve become? Study. You want to change the world, making it a better place for everyone who comes after you? Study. You want to be able to look back to your time as a young adult, and be proud of how hard you worked? Study.
Studying isnât a chore. It isnât something you have to do. No, studying is a privilege. It is empowerment. You have world-changing potential, and it can only be unlocked by studying. Not everyone has this opportunity. But you do, and it is up to you to use this moment wisely. Make the right decision, do the hard thing, and push your limits. You want the world to change? Then letâs do this.
Get your coffee, tie your hair back and get to work. Youâve got goals to achieve
When I was in school, one of my art teachers used to say âthis world needs more creators. Thereâs more than enough destroyers in the world today.â
Just a reminder, if you create anythingâart, writing, food, machines, ideas, equations, knits, tools, gardensâthe world needs you.

Growth Mindset
Who is it that you want your future self to be?
Are they independent, are they stronger than the fears that hold you back, are they more persistent and hardworking? Define them. You cannot become them if you don't know what it is that they are.
Once you know who you want to be, then start asking yourself what that person would do in the situations you are in. Constantly seek to act like the person you want to grow to be, and you will become them.
This is how we grow.
Goals vs Systems
If youâre a person who likes goals, then set goals! Set goals that are just out of your reach, and make yourself grow to reach them. Set goals for where you want to be in five years, and set goals for what you want to get done in the next hour. Youâll improve with every goal you meet! Push yourself. Youâre going to look back, and be so thankful for each and every goal you set.
If goals donât work for you, donât stress! You might not be the sort of person who does well with goals. Instead of being motivating, goals can be discouraging. I know lots of amazing students who donât set goals because they get overwhelmed by how much needs to be done in order to reach the goals they set. If thatâs you, thatâs perfectly ok! Instead of setting goals, make systems.
Plan how you are going to study, or practice, or work on whatever it is that you want to make progress on. If you stick to it, you are going to see improvement! Instead of being discouraged by the big goals, focus on the little steps, and youâll succeed. Every day you stick to the system your momentum will build. Youâll be improving more with each and every day you work. You donât have to set goals in order to achieve!
This is something I posted last year, and it has impacted me so much since then. Keep studying!
Peril, loneliness, an uncertain future, are not oppressive evils, so long as the frame is healthy and the faculties are employed; so long, especially, as Liberty lends us her wings, and Hope guides us by her star.
