I know it's cliché when character A is consumed by the dark or darkness but then they recognize character B or their voice keeps them grounded but I eat that shit up every. single. time.

Cringe queers are the richest part of our community
Baby butches who really like star wars, trans catgirls, socially awkward twinks who may never be graceful enough to be fabulous, trans guys with weird hair, goths of many flavors
These are the everyday people who give us flavor and color. Not everyone can be a tv drag queen or a hot muscle butch on Instagram, and those who aren't, those who are loud and unapologetic, unhip and truly Queer in both senses of the word are the ones who you will meet, and often the ones who will make a difference

Me, designing characters:
My character will be a dreamer who wishes to fly to the moon. I shall name him Aether, for the sky he loves.
His last name will be, uh, hmm, keyboard mash I guess.
Introducing Aether Sdjkgart
So yeah, good resource, don’t keyboard mash up terrible last names

“I can fix him” but it’s writers and they’re determinedly talking about that book they’ve been working on for ten years.
Op is denying us the fucking golden replies to this tweet omg
When i had breast reduction surgery, i got into the OR and got put on this table that looked like a flat crucifix (arms out so they could get to the girls), and i said ‘god, don’t nail me down’
they put the mask on my face and the nurse said ‘no jesus treatment today’
and the last thing i said to her was ‘jesus with some big ass titties’ and then passed out.
Post complete. We can all go home now
Direct byproduct of being neurodivergent and growing up isolated from your peergroup is having no idea when it's appropriate to define someone as your friend
Is this person I met yesterday my friend? What about this person I've been talking to every day for three months? What about this person I've known since middle school? Is friend a title I have to earn? What are the limits of friendship? Is it a static state, make-or-break, or is it some endless dance-dance-revolution style cavalcade of prompts and challenges and social cues I have to hit perfectly to keep it up? Does it bend? Does it break? I don't fucking know man I just work here.
i still remember when the dude doing my autism assessment asked me how many friends I had, and I was like "okay but how are we defining friendship?" and he just like, stared at me for a second and then wrote down some notes
I'm trying to come up with a pen name. What do you think of "Charles Bastion" for a fantasy romance writer? Any suggestions?
Day 7 of #transrightsreadathon and if you haven't read Freydís Moon yet, you're missing out! Their books are all different, with humans meeting angels, selkies, demons, and ghosts. There's horror, magic, romance, longing, revenge, healing, desperation, and more. For adults only because these books get 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Exodus 20:3: biblically accurate angel x sex worker, sexy worship in a church, building community
Three Kings: domestic, witchy, spicy, lighthouse life, grumpy selkie, necromancy, mmm
With a Vengeance: returning home, sexy possession, ghosts, f*ck your demons, revenge is best served bloody
Heart, Haunt, Havoc: a haunting, an exorcist, magic gone wrong
(I have more detailed reviews on the blog if you want to search for them!)
As part of Trans Rights Readathon, please consider reading books by trans authors and/or books with trans characters, researching anti-transgender legislation and how you can help, and/or donating to trans charities like the National Center for Transgender Equality, TransHealth, Transgender Law Center, and/or state and local charities. And don't forget to spread the word!
As a librarian, I'd encourage you to see what books your library has and, if they don't have the ones you're looking for, ask if they can be ordered! That way you're helping the authors, boosting library use, and (hopefully) getting the books in the hands of more readers in your community!
