While I made an intro when I joined a while back, it was hasty and not that good because I was very nervous and just wanted to get it out, so here's another.
Name(s)
The pen name I'm planning on using is 'Isaiah Pater', but you can also call me Eli, Emil, Levi, or Lian.
Pronouns
I use fae/faer, it/its, and he/him pronouns (full sets for reference: fae/faer/faer/faers/faerself, it/it/its/its/itself and he/him/his/his/himself).
Age
I'm 18+. I don't mind minors interacting with me/my blog, though! I try to keep it SFW for the most part, although there will definitely be some cursing. I might at some point also post adult things, considering how some of my OCs are, so I ask that minors do block the tags "#nsft" and "#spiced writing". Obviously I can't control what you do, but it's definitely preferred. If I catch you, as a minor, interacting with those posts anyway, I'll give you a soft block and warning first. Second time will be a hard block.
Others
I mostly write fantasy (to varying degrees). There might be short snippets sometimes of other genres, because it's always good to expand your abilities, but it's mainly fantasy. Most of my stories will probably also contain found family. For the rest, you'll need to look at the WIPs themselves.
I write both fanfiction and original things.
My inbox is always open for you to chat with me, ask me questions about my WIPs or me or my methods, or even to send me some of your own work if you'd like me to check it out.
And don't worry, I don't bite.
I also have places where you can financially support me if you have the means, a Ko-Fi, or a Paypal on request.
I'll place my WIPs, short descriptions of them and their taglists under the cut. Some of them I will work on more than others.
A Modern Wonderland | original | taglist (ask to be + or -): @viskafrer
Description: Every few generations a new Alice is born, with the power to travel between Wonderland and the normal world. Their purpose? To save Wonderland from falling into despair. Yet this time, the script goes down a double rabbit hole. (Intro post)
Brothers from other Mothers | original | taglist (ask to be + or -):
Description: After nearly getting killed by a dragon, the crown prince of Aglana, Mian, wakes up in the Demon Realm. Now, he has to find his way back home with his father's most trusted advisor and the Demon prince, all while learning that most of his life has been a lie, and that Someone is trying to take over the world.
Second Chance At Life | original | taglist (ask to be + or -):
Near had it all. Until it crashed down around him, and his best friend killed him. Now, he's back to being thirteen, with no one but him remembering any of the things that happened. Will he choose to do it all again, albeit in a different way, or will he choose an entirely different way of life?
Kyomi in Genshin AU | fanfiction | Genshin Impact | taglist (ask to be + or -): @thatoneyanfeifan @cr34tur33
In which Kyomi takes the place of Aether as the Traveler. Will follow the Genshin storyline for the most part, although there will obviously be differences. The story kicks off at the part where something very different happens the first time: outside the Cathedral, where we meet Signora the first time.
Kyomi Does It Over AU | fanfiction | Boku No Hero Academia (with mentions of others) | taglist (ask to be + or -): @cr34tur33
After a few hundred years of being alive, Kyomi... Well, he doesn't die. He's not sure what happens. He's just suddenly back as a child, in Sensei's 'care'. Oh well, he's had weirder things happen. At least now he has a chance to save Tenko, too.
Visitors With Blonde Hair | fanfiction | Ikemen Kakumei/Revolution | taglist (ask to be + or -):
A route for my OC, Eleanor 'Ivy' Bright, because I wanted a female Love Interest.
And Then There Were Two | fanfiction | Scum Villain's Self Saving System | taglist (ask to be + or -): @cr34tur33
Now, see, if Renata had ever expected to transmigrate (who even would?), she wouldn't have expected to transmigrate into a character that doesn't even exist in the book. And now she's here, as Luo Binghe's twin. Well, time to fuck up the story and survive longer than she should have. And maybe get a harem. If Binghe can, why can't she?
General/everything taglist (ask to be + or -): @simkarta333 @asher-orion-writes

Summary:
And right as everything is starting to go right for Kyomi, it all goes wrong again. Another high school, never mind their age, and even more problems with it. Still, at least they’re getting friends and more magic lessons out of it. Now, if only everyone would stop overblotting, because they’ve got enough to worry about as is.

There it is! After all that time, the first book is finally fully done! Including two extra scenes in the series which didn’t fit in the main fic but do add a little something.
It’s been quite a journey and I’m still not sure how to feel about it, but we’re here. It’s time to move on to the next book for Twisted Wonderland. I’ll even tell you what I’ll call the fic once it goes up: A Lion’s Pride.

If you're writing anything involving cons, scams, heists, or morally questionable characters who are very good at lying, here are some free resources I've been using for research. Saving you the "why is this in my search history" anxiety.
1. The FBI's Famous Cases & Criminals archive (fbi.gov/history/famous-cases) has detailed breakdowns of real fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and confidence operations. The language they use is clinical and precise, which is perfect for getting the procedural details right.
2. The FTC Consumer Sentinel Network publishes annual reports on the most common fraud tactics in the US. Great for understanding how modern scams actually work and what makes people fall for them.
3. The Smithsonian's American Art Museum has a free digital collection of forgery case studies. If your character forges documents or art, this is gold.
4. Court Listener (courtlistener.com) is a free legal database where you can read actual court transcripts from fraud trials. Want to know how a real con artist talks under oath? This is where you find out.
5. The Internet Archive's collection of old newspaper crime sections. Search for "confidence man" or "swindle" in papers from the 1920s through 1960s and you'll find incredible real stories that would feel too dramatic for fiction.
Bonus: The Psychology of Fraud section on the Association for Psychological Science website has accessible articles about why people trust, how deception works cognitively, and what makes someone a convincing liar. Essential reading if you want your con artist characters to feel psychologically real.
Reblog to save for later. Your WIP will thank you.
I do really love it when women write graphic and fucked up things. I feel like so often people react to fucked up fiction with “of course a disgusting man would write this 🙄” and it often carries an unspoken (honestly sometimes spoken) message of “a woman’s PURE and DELICATE and FEMININE mind could NEVER think of something this VILE”. Thank you women in fucked up fiction 🫡
Piece of advice to all writers who need a cover but don’t have the money to hire an artist: use the public domain.
Online, you can find quite a lot databases for photography in the public domain that you could use (always check their specific rules regarding commercial use), like Pixabay, Unsplash, or Pexels.
But, even a tad more charming, there are also hundreds of thousands of paintings in the public domain. If the artist has been dead for over 70 years, the image is (typically) in the public domain and can be used however you want it. This is not a new concept, big publishers like Penguin and the Oxford’s World Classics do the same!
When you use such images, always make sure that
1. the painting really is in the public domain (sometimes the art itself may be in the public domain, but the photograph you are using to see it is not!),
and 2. that it is an appropriate image. Sometimes, an image may look innocent and fitting, but would actually cause irritation, like accidentally using a painting of siblings for a romance or using a controversial image for different reasons.
Some places you can find art in the public domain (always double check!): National Gallery of Art, Artvee, Public Domain Image Archive, and most websites of bigger museums.

Kyomi has been on the mind again (when is she not?) and I just. Really want to talk about her and some of the reasons why she's so fascinating to me. It's probably gonna be a lot, so I'm putting it under a cut and just really hoping people will click and read.
I will be trying to do this without diving too deep into the fandoms that helped spawn Kyomi as she is today.
What I want to start with is the fact that Kyomi is really powerful. Like. Ridiculously powerful. And even though she knows this, she doesn't, not really. Like, she's more than aware that she's powerful because of the many demons she's fought off. But she also thinks she's really weak.
Why? Because of her past. Because she couldn't get out on her own. She couldn't fight back. She couldn't save her brother. She killed him. She killed her brother.
How could she be strong when she couldn't even save him?
On top of that, she's a demon, she's a dragon. She's possessive, protective, loyal.
She had to kill her own brother.
She doesn't regret it. She feels guilty. She should've saved him. Why couldn't she. Why couldn't she save him like they saved her.
But was he really her brother anymore? The boy she grew up with wanted to be a hero, wanted to save everyone.
The man she killed was going to kill thousands, if not millions. She had to. She was the only one strong enough, the only one who could get close enough.
She knows the brother she grew up with would have wanted her to do it.
She knows the brother she killed had no choice in the matter either, not really. He was forced into this position as much as she was.
No matter how many people she helps, no matter how many people she saves, she will always remember the brother she couldn't save.
She can't think about it too much, not now she's still young. If she thinks about it too much it'll eat at her until she breaks down. She's had the therapy. She's worked through it as much as she could. She just needs time. Maybe one day she'll look back on the memories with fondness. Maybe one day the guilt of being too weak will pass.
She has a new brother. One who's strong enough to save himself. He doesn't need her. He relies on her anyway.
She's weak again. This time, it's not a flaw. Not to her family. It's okay. You're young. You'll grow into your powers. Until then, we'll protect you. (We won't need to. You're stronger than you let yourself believe. You could change the world. You will change the world. And it'll be for the better.)
She can't be protected. She needs freedom. Space. (She doesn't deserve it. She's not special like that. She's a fuck up.)
She's confident. She knows what she's capable of. She's insecure. What if she can't do it when it matters? What if she fails again? What if she can't save-?
She's happy, she's kind, she's the person you want to befriend. She doesn't experience emotions as others do. She's faking her smile so often. But if it reassures others, if it keeps them happy-
She doesn't even realize it. She just does it. Even if she knew she wouldn't think about it because she can't risk it. Better to just move on instinct.
She thinks people shouldn't be ashamed of scars. It shows you survived. She hates her own scars and doesn't want to look at them. (She survived. She shouldn't have. She should have been the one to die, not her brother.)
She has the same power her grandma had. Her grandma was a hero. She is celebrated as a hero, too. She will never be one, not really. She couldn't save the person who mattered most. (She killed the person who killed her grandma. She killed the person who was responsible for her brother turning out the way he did. She avenged them. It'll never be enough.)
I just- can you guys see it? See why she's haunting my brain?

I don't read as much fic as I used to but one "tell" for non Canadians writing us, besides the etransfer, is the units you use to describe us measuring something. I hate to tell you this but The Chart is real and it's completely subconscious. Please abide
“hey just a heads up that this author writes dark fics” boohoo so scary how will you survive this!!!!! seriously go and talk to a real person in real life I beg you. “hey this person likes horror movies!!!! characters are brutally killed in those movies and this person enjoys it!!!! just a heads up” this is what some of y’all sound.
⊹ How do they treat people who can't do anything for them? Waitstaff? strangers? people they'll never see again? this is the oldest trick in the book for a reason. It works. How someone behaves toward people with no social utility tells you everything about their actual values versus the values they perform for an audience.
⊹ What's their relationship with their own body? Are they comfortable in it or is it something they carry around like a problem? do they take up space or make themselves small? are they aware of how they look or completely indifferent? Physicality is psychology and most writers forget the body entirely until someone needs to throw a punch.
⊹ What do they lie about and why. Not dramatic plot lies necessarily. the small everyday ones. the things they exaggerate or omit or reframe. Because people don't lie randomly, they lie to protect something. Find what your character is protecting and you'll find what they're afraid of. That fear is the ENGINE!!
⊹ Who did they used to be? not their whole backstory. just: who were they before the thing that changed them. because that person is still in there somewhere, showing up in small ways, wanting things the current version of them would never admit to. The ghost of a former self is one of the most interesting things you can write into a character without ever stating it directly.
⊹ What would make them walk away?? from the goal. from the relationship. from the person they're trying to be. everyone has a breaking point and it should be specific to them, and please not a generic "too much" but the exact thing, the particular betrayal or loss or realisation that would finally be enough. know this even if the story never reaches it.
⊹ What do they love that has nothing to do with the plot?? a specific kind of light in the afternoon. the smell of old paperback books. bad television they watch without apology. something small that belongs only to them. details like this cost you nothing and they make the reader believe in a person completely. characters who only care about plot-relevant things are not people. they're chess pieces. sorry not sorry.
