Watched the sonic movie and came out with a new little interest. This is kind of based on the song Figure You Out by VOILA
Shadow didn’t get it. He just didn’t get it. No matter how he tried to reason it out, it never worked. While he downright refused to admit it, the thought relentlessly invaded his mind. Every interaction he saw between you and Sonic was... infuriatingly wrong. It started out unintentionally, he was an observant person, that's what he told himself. The confusion in your face when he claimed something that wasn’t true.
He watched from afar of course, his jaw tense and gaze unyielding. The Blue Faker wasn’t very aware, but for some sick reason you didn’t seem to mind. Maybe it was because you’re trying to be nice. Today, for instance, Sonic had brought you flowers, a lovely gesture on the surface. All Shadow saw was the wrong kind of flowers, in the wrong colour. How did he know? A conversation played in his mind as he watched you kindly accept the flowers.
“Hey there! You guys wouldn’t happen to have (f/c) (f/f)?”
“Shipment comes in next week hun, we’ll save some for you though!”
He’s disgusted with himself with the way he memorized how your eyes lit up at the shop owner’s response. It stuck with him nonetheless. As did the completely wrong flowers you’re now holding. He scoffed to himself for such a waste of time this was. But as he walked, a sickeningly good idea struck his mind. A flare of pride bubbling in his chest.
You breathed a sigh of relief as you shoved your door open, hands full of bags. Days like these took more out of you than you’d like to admit. A certain high-energy hedgehog demands quite a bit of attention, but you cherished your friends more than anything. Thats why when Sonic ran up to you with flowers claiming they were your favorite, you thoughtlessly agreed with him. You chuckled to yourself as you picked up said flowers, its the thought that counts right?
But when you look for your vase to put them in, you were met with a small surprise. A cluster of (f/c) (f/f) were sitting there, gleaming in the sunlight. You were 100% sure those weren’t there when you left this morning, huh. You eyed them suspiciously, no note, and nothing else looked remotely out of place. As skeptical as you were about how these got into your home, you couldn’t wipe a small smile from your face every time you looked at them.
“I guess we’re gonna have to find you another place to be,” you said to the flowers in your hand. Little did you know, Shadow was watching with a triumphant smirk. He ignored the feeling your smile invoked, shoving it down before it could infect him. And just like that he had a mission. To show you that he could figure you out better than that incompetent speedster.
