FAN ARTIST APPRECIATION WEEK

I didn’t know that this was happening until I saw it today, so I figured I’d give a massive shout out to some of the amazing writers out there who I follow religiously because they write amazing things. I haven’t talked to some of you but your writing is amazing and if anyone I follow likes fanart and isn’t following some of these people, I’d seriously recommend it because they are amazing and their art is amazing. I’ll put a link to a masterlist of their writing or something next to their name so anyone who wants to can check them out coz they’re awesome. If you like fanfiction, I would seriously recommend these absolutely amazing writers.

continued rant about solas after haven

And you know what else? People keep talking about that scene after Haven when Solas struts up to the veil torch and lights it. And the fandom is so busy gushing over his switching hips that they can’t see he’s tricking us.

I guess the trick worked.

I think Solas was given the switch animation during that particular scene because he is tricking us. There is no “this is where we see the real Solas.” Solas was himself all along. He is always proud and wise and blunt. He always acts like an ancient elven god, and if we can’t see what he truly is, it isn’t because he succeeded in hiding.

Sometimes I think Lavellan saw the truth. She is given some pretty curious lines throughout the game. “Solas, whatever you’re looking for, we can find it together.” (during the break up scene). “Who are your people, Solas?” (if Briala is exiled). “You’ve been to court before?” (after Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts).  

Lavellan is on to Solas. And not because he’s a great actor. Solas told a story about being a hobo apostate, and then proceeded to act like an ancient being who disdains everything about the modern world. He constantly uses phrases like “this age,” and his constant excuse is “I saw it the Fade.” Meanwhile, no one challenges the Fade excuse but for Cassandra and Iron Bull, who are also on to him.

Thanks! Ya know what I realized as the clippers were buzzing away? All these styles with the undercutting that are taking over…these aren’t NEW! These are COMEBACKS! From the 90′s, the big difference is? Mostly ‘skater’ boys had them! Until now I had never considered how good they could look on girls!

Lol you're right! One of my HS boyfriends had an undercut with longer hair on top that he'd pull back in a ponytail... He was a surfer haha. I forgot all about that. Oh well, we look cuter in them than the guys did :P *shifty eyes* OK just as cute cause my HS boyfriend was pretty tasty lol.

I DO UNDERSTAND LOL.  That’s so crazy, my husband enlisted later in life too (we’re only a few years in) and he cracks me up talking about how he tries to relate to the kids he works with.  We don’t really do a whole lot as I can kind of be a homebody and we don’t have kids yet, but the times we DO go out with the people he works with or the dudes he’s made friends with…..I feel kinda old.  We went to a festival with these two kids last year and one of them told me he was 19 and I was like CHRIST.  These Doc Marten’s I’m wearing are older than you are……..  But then again, I can be pretty immature and crazy sometimes, so it’s not that bad I guess lol. 

Also that is SHITTY about your neighbors.  I thought mine were bad blaring their bass at all hours and having super loud sex six times a day -__-  They also touch their walls a LOT.  LIKE SERIOUSLY……who touches their walls all day long?  It’s like they’re trying to find a portal to Narnia by tapping various places on their walls at different times of the day.  Anyway, I really hope your shitty neighbors get their comeuppance for being like that.  Or that they get better hobbies than worrying about what OTHER people are doing.  

And yesssss screw it.  Life’s too short not to do what you want when you can do it :)   

OMG I’m laughing so hard I can’t breathe! My kids have moved out now, he’s been in for 13 years so not only am I OLDER i know stuff, and these youngsters just do NOT want to hear THAT! And the bass thing drives me NUTS! Maybe they’ll find that portal and stop making all that noise :D

We’re total homebodies, well I am. He goes out riding with the guys more.

YES.  Hubs tries to give these kids advice to help them because he’s older as well and they just will not LISTEN.  He’s like ‘whatever, they’ll fuck up and learn’.  lol.  And 13 years?!  That’s amazing....hubs is looking to make a career so I’m sure we’ll be around a long time too.  We’re actually preparing for Japan at the moment, so I’ll be happy to get away from the Narnia neighbors LOL.  

Anywayyyyy that’s crazy haha :)  The world’s a small place sometimes.
