âą You were sitting by your bedroom window, waiting impatiently
âą The dim street lights did no justice as you stared out. The clock ticking seemed to be getting slower and slower
âą Did he get caught by his parents?
âą Did he change his mind?
âą You eventually shook off those thoughts as you saw Connorâs black car pull up in front of your house
âą Taking a deep breath, you taped a note saying : âIâve run away, please donât look for me. Iâll be in touch. -y/n.â onto your door. your parents would probably wonât even care that youâre gone, as they call you a mistake every single day.
âą Grabbing your suitcase and bags, you leave through the window and jog to Connorâs car
âą He helps you put all your bags into the trunk and then looks at you, his eyes staring straight into yours
âą âAre you sure you want to do this? with me?â he bit his bottom lip, âI donât want you to fuck up your entire life for me.â
âą You cut him off by tilting your head and giving him a kiss, immediately his arms wrapped around your waist, tugging you closer
âą âYou are my entire life, Con, and right now, thereâs nothing else Iâd rather be doing. Now letâs get the hell out of this run down town.â
âą Connor nodded and you both hopped into the car, him immediately speeding away
âą You were free from the life you were living, and starting anew with Connor
âą You drive for god knows how many days, until you reach Massachusetts
âą You didnât know where your apartment was, Connor had sorted all the details out himself
âą He pulled up to a small fancy looking apartment complex and looked at you, smiling, âweâre home.â
âą As you got out of the car; Connor began talking, âI already bought us a bed and sofa and stuff like that, all we have to do is decorate to make it feel more homey.â
âą You didnât know if it was the sleep deprivation, or overwhelming excitement/happiness, but your eyes watered and you turned and wrapped your arms around Connor, pressing your face against his chest
âą âI love you so much, Connor,â
âą This boy was nearly about to start crying too because not only was he moving in with the love of his life, but you showed him so much love that no one has before
âą After a few weeks, you and Connor had settled in quite nicely. You started decorating the living room and bedroom, with pictures, fairy lights, curtains, carpets, all that fun stuff
âą There was never a boring day in the apartment
âą You and Connor would blast music and dance around the living room
âą Youâd stay up until 3am watching any genre of movie; youâd literally start with disney and end with a horror movie
âą Endless cuddles, endless kisses, endless hugs
âą You and Connor had both agreed on not having sex until marriage â but that doesnât mean you didnât do other things
âą Living with Connor was to say a dream come true, you were both happier than youâve ever been
âą âConnor, you finished the milk again!â you whined, putting down your mug, âI wanted coffee.â
âą Letting out a yawn, Connor trudged out of your bedroom and came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, âIâll go buy some later, baby, come back to bed please.â
âą You turned to see his sleepy face, and obviously couldnât resist
âą There were moments where you missed your friends, and Connor missed Evan, Alana. Zoe, and Jared
âą You had kept in touch with all of them but it still kind of sucked not seeing them
âą Connorâs birthday was coming up and he was turning twenty
âą You had texted the four and planned a surprise party of some sort while Connor was out grocery shopping
âą âY/N Iâm hom-â âSURPRISE!â
âą The lightâs switched on and Evan was holding a cake, Jared and Zoe holding gift bags, Alana holding a box of pizza
âą Connor had nearly dropped all of the bags
âą âHappy Birthday Con!â you smiled, âyou old man!â
âą When the reality set in, Connor put down the bags and ran to you, pulling you into a tight hug, spinning you around
âą âYou planned all this? for me?â you nodded, âthank you so much.â he kissed you, smiling against your lips. You could hear Zoe gagging behind you
âą Connor made his way around, hugged Zoe, side hugged Evan, and gave a little fist bump hand shake thing to Jared
âą âCome on! Letâs party!â Zoe cheered
âą The six of you ate a shit ton of junk food: pizza, takeout, sandwiches, ice cream, cake, candy, popcorn
âą You played video games, watched movies, you and Connor showed the rest of them around town, and you all spent like three hours in a cat cafe
âą For half of his life, he spent his birthdays alone, smoking weed, drinking alcohol, and being miserable
âą Then you came into his life and everything turned upside down, or rather, right side up
âą Zoe, Evan, Alana, and Jared stayed in Massachusetts for the weekend, leaving Sunday night
âą You and Connor drove them to the airport
âą âBye guys,â he hugged them all goodbye, âthanks so much for coming.â
âą âDonât get lost Connor,â Zoe reminded, âkeep in touch, and visit sometimes.â Connor nodded and pulled her into a tight hug
âą And to think a few years ago Connor would vomit at the thought of hugging his sister
âą Once you and Connor returned back to your apartment he swept you into his arms bridal style
âą âHow on earth did I get so lucky?â
âą You let out a laugh, wrapping your arms around his neck, âConnor, put me down before you drop me!â
âą You spun around and carried you to the bedroom, gently dropping you onto the bed and crawling in besides you
âą âBy far the best birthday weekend Iâve ever had,â he sad sincerely, âI canât believe you did all this for me.â
âą âIâd walk over burning coal for you,â you admitted, âyou mean the world to me Con.â
âą He smiled over at you, ârunning away was one of our best decisions, I think. Every day is a new adventure with you.â
âą âYouâre so cheesy,â you roll over, and flop onto of Connor, wrapping your limbs around him, like a koala, âI love you, you dork.â
âą âLove you too,â he hugged you tight, as if it were the last time
âą To make the apartment more lively you and Connor eventually got a kitten, since the apartment had a strict no dog policy
âą It was a small, fluffy siamese, that you two named Skippy, after your favorite child books âSkippyjon Jonesâ
âą Connor always claimed he was a dog person but he absolutely loved Skippy
âą When in the living room watching movies, Skippy was always curled up in Connorâs lap, purring as Connor would gently carress his little head
âą You can bet that Connor got one of those toys where feathers were attached to a string on a stick â to which he would make Skippy jump to get it
âą And at night, Skippy would curl up at the end of your bed by your feet
âą âHey babe,â you ask, âdo you ever think of visiting our old town someday?â
âą âSometimes,â Connor chews his bottom lip, âI feel bad sometimes, leaving the way I did. My mom and dad, it was just so sudden.â
âą âBecause I bought us tickets to fly back next week,â
âą âI can return them! I just-â
âą âNo! thank you,â he gave you a weak lopsided smile, âitâll be nice to go back so you can see all your old friends and I can talk to my parents.â
âą Cynthia cried when she saw Connor, especially seeing him with a smile on his face â she ran and hugged him, Connor hesitantly hugged her back
âą âYou just disappeared with hardly a note, I was so worried!â
âą âYeah⊠sorry about that,â Connor awkwardly said, âY/N and I have a place down in Massachusetts.â
âą The next few days were fun, every night you had dinner over at the Murphyâs; Zoe was thrilled to have you over
âą Connor even rekindled his relationship with Larry
âą You got to see all your friends, Evan, Jared, and Alana included
âą Before you left to go back, Cynthia stopped Connor. âAre you happy? In Massachusetts, with her?â
âą Connorâs eyes softened and he gently squeezed Cynthia in a hug, âThe happiest Iâve ever been.â
