i was looking at the mcr official website from 2004 thru the wayback machine and i found a contest that the band had held for fans to design a single cover for the song of their choice and this was one of the winning designs hand-picked by my chemical romance.

Gotta tell you guys something wild in the Chinese fan sphere

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.

And that is how this charity received over 1 million in donations in three days lol. Oh btw the “freedom of expression” side won by a landslide (960k to 40k)

SaShiSu and SatoSugu

I'm not going to lie, I am a big SaShiSu fan and that ABSOLUTELY bleeds into so much of the SatoSugu I write. Like I need to make it SO clear that even when SatoSugu are in a closed and healthy relationship they have had at least ONE threesome that involved Shoko in some capacity in every AU.

AroAce!Shoko? She tried it once and used them as her experimental dip into sexuality. Sometimes wanders into the relationship on the rare blue moon when she decides that getting off can involve other people. SatoSugu are happily married and do not question their friend that stays in their extra bedroom more often than not and think everyone else is weird for asking questions.

Lesbian!Shoko? Used them to work through her comphet. It happened once and they all had a heartfelt conversation about her struggle with attraction and the larger 'if it was any guy it should have been one of you' iykyk.

Bi/Pan!Shoko? Absolutely messy, has a few whirlwind romances throughout college and ends up falling into bed with SatoSugu in her off-periods where she can complain about all these people thinking relationships need 'opening up' and 'sharing your burdens' while SatoSugu just kind of exasperatedly offer orgasms as a temporary fix until her next inevitable trainwreck.

Het!Shoko? Same as Bi!Shoko, except she complains a little more about men in general and vaguely wishes she was attracted to women in that annoying het way that drives me personally up the wall.

Poly!Shoko? SatoSugu are not part of her polycule/closed off metamours that do not participate in any group activities.

Ace!Shoko? Sits on SatoSugu's couch and grumbles about people expecting sex from her while SatoSugu try to pointedly tell her they are having date night and want to get frisky without the kids around. She flatly tells them she wants to watch movies on the big screen and they can do whatever. Weird voyeurism ensues that SatoSugu(exhibitionists) deeply enjoy.

The Trump administration is cynically exploiting calls for stricter AI regulation to pass broad censorship measures at the federal level.

So, in terrible news, Trump's trying to pull some strings to pass this massive internet censorship bill, featuring all the kinds of internet censorship we're terrified of, including mandatory ID for accessing basically any website, specifically to crush state regulation of AI, because apparently this man will always see the moral bottom of the barrel and start digging.

So, if you live in the US and hate censorship and AI you know what to do, contact your congresspeople and tell them do not fucking dare let this through or so help us god...
