Dogfight is a TOTTMNT fan comic written in 5 parts. Similar to the show, it's a short tale filled with drama, a bit of action, and lots of heart.

FAQs

[Q] When will the next chapter come out?

[A] A new chapter will be released every Tuesday starting May 5th.

[Q] I'm not familiar with Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TOTTMNT). How is it different from other TMNT versions?

[A] There are three things that might be helpful to know for this comic: 1) TOTTMNT is told in the format of one of the four turtles telling a tall tale. In this story, Chapter 1 - page 1 and all of Chapter 5 are real life, and everything else is Mikey's story.

2) The character in yellow is April, the character in Pink is Angel. Angel is a major antagonist in this show. She ranges from being rude and mean, to not caring if mutants get hurt, to actively attacking the turtles herself. 3) Spoiler for chapter 2 (hidden under cut). I recommend reading this one after finishing Chapter 2.

In TOTTMNT Rahzar was created using an unstable ooze. He can only stay mutated for a few hours before harmlessly de-mutating in an explosion of green goop. IMO it doesn't appear that the de-mutated animals retain any memories or personality traits from their mutated forms. I also interpreted the de-mutation process to be permanent.

So, for the purposes of this comic, Rahzar has de-mutated an adorable & harmless little puppy. Only the turtles know about this, Gus thinks this tiny puppy is his opponent.

I have a possibly unpopular opinion - I find Tumblr fun, but confusing.

Back in March I posted an announcement that I'd be working a TOTTMNT fan comic and included an image - a panel from the comic. This post did quite well. However now that I'm regularly posting the comic itself, each chapter gets about 1/10th of the likes of the original announcement post.

I'm a little surprised and confused as to why seemingly similar things can have drastic differences in popularity. I really don't understand how Tumblr works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Does anyone have any advice? I'd love it if someone wouldn't mind explaining what might make something more or less popular on Tumblr or offering feedback / concrit on the comic so I can make it even better in the future!

Who is your favorite Re-Evolution turtle?

IT'S YI!!!

She's so ADORABLE , I love that she probably gonna grow in to the direction that she's studying medicine to help her siblings! Also her being insecure of truly being a "monster" and disappointing sensei with that, I don't know, I just really wanna see more of her and how she grows!!!

I also like moja(?)- SHE'S SO COOL - empathic, heroic and protective over her siblings, we love it. its even connected to her power

-and Uno, just need him to show us more of his good side!!! hope they will show it more through actions than words tho, it would fit his character (I think)

We've finally hit the end of Mikey's tale! Now that you've seen the full story, can you guess why the boys were in trouble all the way back in chapter 1?

The action in this chapter was partially inspired by @pvtpunsart's amazing whistle comic.

The dramatic asymmetry in page 3 was inspired by the very creative paneling in @kyukalv's Carving Contest comic.

How I imagined each turtle reacting to the match starting: Donnie: Confused & unhappy Leo: Anxiety & fear Mikey: Thinking "What, what? That can't be right." Raph: ....... GREMLIN MODE ACTIVED. TOTTMNT Raph is chaos incarnate, and I love him for it.
