What if after Ingo's disappearance, everyone forgets about his existence, except for Chandelure?

Emmet knows something is off, of course, but he can't figure out what. He knows that Chandelure knows something. He knows that Chandelure isn't his pokemon, deep down. He knows that something is wrong. Verrrry wrong.

Emmet tries his hardest to figure it out, to no avail. He has no way of proving that there's something missing. There's something missing. What is it?

The thought starts to affect him more and more, people notice. He insists it's fine. He lies. No one would understand if he told them. Even he doesn't truly understand. Only Chandelure does. And she won't tell him. She can't tell him. She tries. She tries her hardest, but the message never gets across.

He keeps Chandelure close. Closer than even his ace. She knows something important, and he doesn't. What if he loses an opportunity to find out what it is because she isn't near? He knows it's stupid. He knows it's hopeless. Yet, he clings to his ideals.
