List of things that make me forget I’m tired:
•Staying up on the phone with someone I’m falling for (a memory of my husband of course)
•Late hangouts with good people that make me laugh
•Mornings with my baby after a tiring night
•A really good movie/book
•Visiting a new place

My little corner of heaven
when I am among the trees, mary oliver (read by amanda palmer)
made by yours truly
When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would almost say that they save me, and daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, “Stay awhile.” The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, “It's simple,” they say, “and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine.”
Oscar Wilde, from a letter featured in The Selected Letters of Oscar Wilde

Meditations on Design: Reinventing Your Home with Style and Simplicity, 2000
Foggy skies, cool air, morning dew, bird songs, and the scent of coffee — I can live in mornings with you. High pitch screeches and a smile so vast, spanning across the universe. Your mood matches the mornings. I forget how tired I am. I wish I can bottle up memories, but for now, I am here with you @ 6:30 am; dancing in the kitchen, making scrambled eggs.
