During the India VS Sri Lanka match on 6th July 2019, in what was a treacherous and unacceptable security breach, not one, but two planes were seen flying above the Headingley Carnegie stadium with controversial slogans. Apart from the fact that ICC has a zero tolerance for political slogans, the airspace above the stadium is classified as a no-fly zone, RAF has the power to intercept and even shoot-down the plane if necessary. This has really made us question England’s suitability as a host to such global events.
