The Cult Of Diana

The remarkable Diana Vreeland, who defined what it meant to be a fashion editor at the helm of both Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, always urged her readers to shed the ordinary and live an adventurous life.

The empress of fashion challenged its preconceptions to present a new definition of beauty and vivaciousness. She had this corrosive humor, biting comeback and crazy style that made her so singular. She was endowes of a visionary spirit, and has been the first to highlight the bikini, denim, or personalities such as Twiggy or Mick Jagger.

We can’t forget her mythic and curious heading « Why don’t you ? », where she used to suggest weird things such as washing your children’s hair with champagne to bring out the golden luminous shine. She reigned on the fashion sphere as a sphinx on speed for more than 50 years, never stop deploying a revolutionary and edgy wave.

« The eyes has to travel », excellent documentary about her life is a stirring tribute to this legendary figure who always claimed: « You have to stand out from the crowd and dare. »
