Realizing I thrive when I’m around people who mirror back to me my lifestyle, hobbies, ambitions, education, and even aesthetic has been one of the most freeing experience I’ve had lately. Being mindful of the places you frequent is key to be in close proximity with your peers.
Trying to go and do things that “seem” correct because others do them but that contradict your nature is a recipe for disaster. Relationships are inherently exclusionary. That is a feature, not a bug. Become picky but not complacent in your pursuit of the right ones because your life satisfaction hinges on them.
Wasn’t the world supposed to end in 2012??? That was a good plan who fucked that up

I crave simple things with the right company.

You are doing a good job. Yes, even now. You are doing enough. Take a moment and say to yourself “I am doing my best”. Even if there is room for improvement, that can come in the future. In a day or an hour or a minute from now. But, at this exact second, recognize that, no matter your mistakes, you are good enough.
