It seems like the fact that slaughterhouse workers are also exploited and put in horrible working conditions is glossed over when an argument about veganism is brought up. In fact, mostly people seem to focus on those picking crops. It seems like the people making these arguments only really care about making an argument instead of the actual wellbeing of other people.

Vanilla Banana Crêpes by @plantbasedali 💛
Ingredients: 200g wholewheat spelt flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 pinch of salt 1 big ripe banana 1 cup almond milk ½-1 cup sparkling water 1 tsp vanilla extract Coconut oil for frying
How to: First mash banana, set aside. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, add mashed banana, vanilla and almond milk to the bowl and mix well (works best with an electric hand mixer). Then add in ½ cup sparkling water and mix again. Add as much water as needed until a runny dough forms, let the batter rest for about 5minutes. Meanwhile heat up a pan on medium heat, once hot brush with some coconut oil. Stir the batter again and check if you need to add some more water. Then add pour about 1/5 of the batter into the pan and form a circle. Bake the crêpe until bubbles appear and the edges are firm, flip the crêpe and bake for another 1-2 minutes until done and golden brown. To serve roll them up, fill and top them with fresh fruit, peanut butter, chocolate sauce, etc. Enjoy! #letscookvegan
i’m always surprised people don’t often talk about how much fun being vegan is. i don’t know about ya’ll but i genuinely enjoy trying new recipes and googling vegan cosmetics and just opening myself up to this whole other world. it’s like there’s been a community of people just like me all this time and i’m finally becoming apart of it!!

Ostara Honey Cake
This will be my first Ostara so I’ve been putting together my recipes for the event. The following recipe is a dairy and egg free cake with a hint of honey; a simple recipe I’ve modified. It can even be gluten free if you substitute a gluten free all purpose flour (I personally like Bob’s Mill) Perfect desert for the sabbat! It’s simple, not overly sweet, and I’ll be putting a light lemon glaze on top, but it would be wonderful plain. A perfect finish to bring in Spring/Summer.
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup honey, warmed 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons white vinegar 1 ½ tablespoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons oil 2 cups water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 – 9 inch round cake pans then dust with flour. Warm honey in 10 second intervals in microwave until it moves around bowl like a liquid (DO NOT let it boil) Add the flour, sugar, honey, baking soda, and salt to a large bowl. Add the water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Mix with a whisk until well-blended. Do not over beat. It will still turn out even if there are a few small lumps. Divide the batter between the 2 greased cake pans. Bake on a middle rack of oven for 35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before frosting, dust with powdered sugar, or dive in while warm with a fork. Mmm, tasty!🐰🐥🐏🍰

March: National Nutrition Month
Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? Well, you do now! So check out the healthy recipes I’ve collected, plan a yummy post-workout meal, and get moving!
The directions are simple: find the current date on the calendar, see what workout(s) it asks for, and pick one from each section listed for that date. For example, if today it says “Arms” and “General,” I’d find an arm workout and a general workout to do today.
Feel free to substitute an HIIT workout for any cardio workout listed. This is especially helpful if you don’t have a lot of time for cardio.

p.s. Any of the calendars can be modified. If you are training for a half-marathon, feel free to count that as your cardio on cardio days. If you’re sore in the arms from helping a friend move, substitute a butt workout instead. It’s all about you!
