It's the Macrocilix maia moth, and how it uses camouflage is so cool! It looks like it has bugs on its wings!!!

TODAY'S FACT IS

Did you know that Macrocilix Maia is a moth found in parts of southeast Asia? They are mostly known for the patterns on their wings. The forewings depict flies pointed toward the abdomen. The hindwings have a splotch in the bottom corner that, when they converge, look like bird droppings. The fake flies are "eating" the fake droppings. The larvae are known to feed on the leaves of Chinese cork oak trees.

Horrifically, he finds the message somewhat charming, despite being well aware that it is coming from a person trying to manipulate him. He side-eyes Alastor, trying to gauge his reaction, only to let out a wheeze when he realizes that the demon is staring at him with a completely unimpressed look.

“You like that he complimented the duck, don’t you.” Alastor states, judgement oozing out of him.

Lucifer can feel the tips of his ears turning gold. “Shut the fuck up, I’m not that easy.”

Except that sadly, apparently he is. Fuck, he really needs to leave his room more often, if the bar is this low.

I genuinely cannot explain to a non-writer what it feels like when a chapter suddenly clicks. it's not satisfaction. it's not relief. it's this horrible specific feeling like you just remembered something you never knew. like the story was already there and you finally stopped being in the way of it. i don't know what to do with that feeling. i just close the laptop and stare at the wall for a bit.

One of those fandom things that I love is when there’s new characters around and, with the unwavering confidence of an old farmer appraising cattle, fanfic authors take one good look at them, tilt their imaginary hat, and go “Aye. Praise kink, that one. Mighty case of praise kink if I ever saw one.” And everyone else just “aye.”
