You all know about how the far right controlling the media is one of the specific, strategic steps involved in a complete fascist takeover, right? High-profile celebrities and hosts being fired and canceled over commentary that disagrees with them is a bad sign.
I don't continue rb'ing this shit to sow despair nor to circle jerk about criticizing that guy. I do it because there are grave implications and consequences here, specifically concerning the First Amendment and the safety of queer and trans people--because the shooter isn't trans, but that doesn't matter to them.
They are using this incident to label trans people as a public enemy so that they can delegitimize us as human beings. That's why we can't set this down and move on to ignoring that it happened.
