hi friends! I’ve been going on and off this app all the time but i realized i don’t like the way anything on my blog looks like anymore. so i decided to delete everything! it might take me a while though. i might then start over on this blog or on a completely new one, i’m not sure. but still, it’s a goodbye to the way it’s been up until today

you hummed a soft tune as you stood in front of the stove preparing dinner. a small smile appeared on your face when you felt strong arms wrapping around your waist from behind.
"why didn't you tell me you got home? want to give me a heart attack or something?" you mumbled with faux annoyance, even though it was obvious you weren't mad at all.
toji spun you around, making you face him, his arms still wrapped securely around you. he nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck, taking in your scent with a small sigh. "it's been such a long day."
you started to gently stroke his black hair, knowing it always calms him down. the dinner was long forgotten, you'll remember about it as soon as you'll smell it burning later. for now the only thing that mattered was comforting this big guy, after another job that you didn't want to know a lot about anyway.
"i don't say it a lot..." he started, his voice quiet against your skin. "but i'm glad you're here."
you smiled sweetly, cause you knew those words from him meant a lot, especially since he's not really the most vocal about his feelings. before you got the chance to answer, toji pulled away from you, frantically searching for something in his pocket.
you tried to bite back a laugh when he pulled out the cheapest possible, lollipop ring you could get in a convenience store. 'how kind of you to bring me a little treat' you wanted to say, but you were quickly silenced, seeing him drop down to one knee.
despite your slight concern, you let out a little chuckle. "what are you doing?"
"i can't afford a proper one." he mumbled with a bit of shame, and that's when it hit you. he was proposing. with a little lollipop ring, shaped to resemble a colorful diamond. "...for now, at least." he added, sounding like he wanted to convince you.
as if you needed any convincing.
you bent down to hug him tightly, which he understood as a 'yes'. toji leaned his forehead onto your shoulder, smiling like an idiot but making sure you can't see it and tease him about it.
a small tear escaped your eyes, quickly replaced by a gentle laugh when you felt him slipping the ring on your finger. you hugged him even tighter, and toji took your hand in his, placing soft kisses along your palm.
he let out a soft hum as his lips settled on the ring. "mmm... strawberry flavor. i knew i chose the right one."
