saaaaaah so cute
Iâm dead.
So apparently a ton of haters have discovered my blog and are reblogging all my posts to 'debunk' them. I cannot be bothered to respond. These are my experiences; if your theories don't encompass them, well, you know, theories explain data, they don't dictate it. And also, the thing with science, brain science as well as physics and the rest, is how much we DON'T KNOW YET. Possibly can't know ever.
Last night I dreamed that my canines - they weren't normal human-size, they were fangs, like a scitimar cat - suddenly went wobbly and started falling out freely.
I think my dreams symbolically defanged me? It scared the SHIT out of me in the dream, I was so relieved to wake up and feel my teeth.
Random talon/feet feels today. I haven't had many kinfeels recently, or at least not many that I've been able to sit down and document. But living as high up as I do now is nice for a bird.
Took a walk to find the seagulls (they were on the lake) and also found cormorants, as well as the normal wildfowl!
Cutest Ferret EVER.
The littlest ferret.
Behbeh.
I looked up and beheld a seagull, and lo, it was good.
I moved and the only seabird here appears to be me. :(
People are shit-talking the noise seagulls make in the morning but seagull-noise at 6am is better than people-noise at 3am (or even 6am).
Awwww, not a seabird, but as a water-bird I feel a lot of closeness to seabirds!
And I really identify with how you feel about seagull noise. Human noise always has been stressful to me (more when I was a child), but bird sounds calm me and make feel âhomeâ.
Luckily we do have some waterbirds, geese and ducks mainly, in the locality. Tbh I didn't think there was a place in the UK that seabirds didn't get, they're around in the very centre of it, but apparently I moved to the one place they don't come to.
Bird sounds sometimes stress me because a lot of noise of any sort often does, but the threshold is faaar higher than human noise (which is constant, living here). And they certainly don't give me the, uh, psychic disturbance? that human noise does.
one time i was at the beach and there was a flock of seagulls and i had fries so i started throwing fries to them and one of them was like a fuckin soccer star it bounced off its head and it was like CAW and then it leaped up and grabbed it while it was in midair it was so boss also there was a big fat seagull who was like twice as big as the rest and bossed them around like a mafia don yeh seagulls are the shit
Hahaha yeah that's seagulls! They nick shit off smaller birds as well, they'll swoop down, scare the bird into dropping its food, and then dive to catch it. They nest in my old school.
(Still not sure that I am one, I miss having them around though.)

But what would you *want* to be?
So, the deal with being otherkin is that you are what you are because thatâs what you are. Although it may *seem* like otherkin are just delusional roleplayers that want to be cool things, thatâs not how it works, although of course many otherkin if not most do like their otherkin identities.
I know Iâve asked this question before but I didnât get a lot of response, so Iâll ask it again. For otherkin, what would you actually +want+ to be? In the past I said the Martians from the Fox cartoon version of Red Planet. This time, Iâm going with The Thing from Mr. Wattâs short story told from the point of view of The Thing, titled âThe Things.â
Maybe a snake? Or a homotherium, they were awesome. Or a red kite, I'd love to be one of those as well.
I wish there was a way to keep track of things that got screencapped from you. I just saw a post of mine as a screencap that first someone hated on and then someone jumped in to say 'no this mockery ain't cool' and it made me smile.
I think there are a lot of reasons people can identify as otherkin.
Past lives. A strong pull towards a thing or a creature. The simple fact that thinking of yourself as a creature makes you happy. (Itâs why our Greta is a butterfly. She doesnât call herself otherkin, thatâs my label for her, but she feels happier, more at home, when she thinks of herself as a butterfly.) The belief that your soul is actually that of something nonhuman.
Or simply because you feel like youâd be happier in another body.
Thatâs how it is with me, really. I think Iâd be happier in a badgermole body, or a bird body. Itâs as simple as that. I feel like my human body is just WRONG sometimes.
Anyway. Thatâs just a post because I havenât had much to say here lately.
