Last time I'm going to comment on the argentina racism discourse bc every time I do it's like inviting a thousand yankee demons into my inbox but the way yankees and euros are talking about kiki ramos is so weird.
"I'm salivating at the thought of this black kid messing up a game and getting called racial slurs and sent death threats about it because it would validate my preconceptions about this country being more racist than mine. I'm normal about global south people btw"
Like it should go without saying that if you find yourself fanstasizing about a 17 year old black kid getting subjected to violent bigotry to validate your moral justification for shitting on people from the country he lives in you should maybe reconsider some of your priorities idk.
Because it sound like you want to have a morally righteous reason to shit on latin americans more than you want this guy to not experience violent bigotry.
i never really got it when people made posts about light pollution and seeing all the stars for the first time and crying. i always assumed that everyone has gone on a road trip to a bortle 1.0 place and seen stars like that, and it's fantastic, but not like life changing. and then i went to europe last month and was in a mountaintop village of like 300 people and could see about 5 stars in the sky. like fewer than i can see from my home in a big metropolitan city.
my apologies to the non-africans, i did not realise how fucked your sky is
the thing that makes me mad about light pollution is that so much of it could be fixed by downward-facing light fixtures and doing that would also massively reduce energy usage bc all that light cast upward is wasted energy
Sorry to make this kind of post again I know it's barely the start of the month, but I've had some unexpected difficulties that ate up at my paycheck and looking at the rest of the month, I'm in the stiuation of having to choose between groceries and rent unless I can scrounge up around $300 USD to complete my rent. I'm putting all my stuff on itch.io on sale for a bit 3:
A bundle by imsobadatnicknames, $9.00 for 7 games
Don't feel obligated to help of course, I'll start looking if there's anyone I can borrow from too.
Indie musician and TTRPG writer I'm Imsobadatnicknames2 on tumblr
My other links just in case
I know I'm sharing this a lot but the situation is legitimately kinda shit for me right now. I still owe part of last month's rent, and my paycheck this month is going to be worth less than last month's because I get paid in USD (I work for an american company that outsources labor to LatAm) and the value of the US dollar relative to Colombian pesos has been dropping really fast for the last couple months.

So now that Mary Jane has the Venom symbiote, if she and Peter have a kid, would the kid also be part symbiote?

I, aromantic, follow this very devoted self shipper I like the art of on Twitter. I have only now realised that my profile picture is the character they self ship with … on top of an aromantic flag.
I can’t help but envision appearing in their notifications constantly like this and laughing
if you're ever beating yourself up for 'missing the obvious hints' that someone is romantically interested in you, know this: i once met a guy who asked out a girl after she sent him nude pictures of herself in the bath and she said she wasn't interested. it is never obvious
fascinating things happening here
I said I’d share more of dad’s art so here we go. This was just some of the stuff downstairs, I’ll need to dig out the rest.
Some of them are water colors, some of them are oils, some of them are replicas of existing paintings that he did for my mother because she liked them. I’ve covered up his name because I’m not about to doxx my dying father, lol. But if anyone does recognize his art from various galleries across Glasgow, zip it.🤐
Sorry the lighting isn’t that great. It was overcast outside and apparently half the bulbs in this house need replaced.
These were some of the paintings and sketches he drew for my nursery growing up. There’s a Lion King one somewhere that I’ll need to find and dig out, but he read Peter Pan to me so many times as a child he can still quote the opening chapter from the original J. M. Barrie, so he did hundreds of Peter Pan paintings for me. I think this is the only one that survived.
He also did a lot of boats and landscapes, as well as taking us to the old Museum of Transport in the west end of Glasgow to sketch the old buses, cars, trams, you name it. He sketched it.
I’m struggling to find a lot of his still life pictures but I suspect they are in the dreaded attic. More to follow in the reblog.
This last on here is my father’s final painting finished earlier this year. I know he’s not happy with it and complained that the proportions are all wrong and his hands were too shaky, but all I can see is the hands of a father who once took plain rolls of wallpaper and pinned them carefully to my mother’s pristine walls to be taken down later so he could paint the house to look like a pirate shipwreck for my 7th birthday.
There were mermaids and sunken treasure chests. It took us until my next birthday to find all the gold coins he hid through the house for my friends to find.
God, families are complicated.
muehehehe its finally done!!! its a bit overdramatic shoujo manga core but eh who cares? i love shoujo!!!
it can take place whenever honestly but i see this little moment happening post chapter 120 ^^

This was really funny I had to draw it
in spider-man 2 when spider-man is trying to stop the train from crashing, the first thing he tries is stopping the train with his feet pressed against the track, but all that does is break up the wood planks on the track without slowing the train down at all. when spider-man gets up to rethink his approach -- already exhausted and agonized from his fight with Doc Ock before he even blew out his knees on the tracks, dealing with his Aunt May getting evicted on top of his own poverty, having literally JUST pushed the woman he loves and who loves him away again, and now feeling the enormous pressure of the lives of everyone behind him being at stake unless he thinks fast --
an old man behind him says "You got any more bright ideas?" and there's a split second where spider-man just looks at him like this
