my drive home from work requires making a left hand turn across 5 lanes of traffic on one of the busiest roads in the city, and the lane closest to my parking lot is always at a standstill so I have to rely on the kindness and attention of TWO lanes of traffic to let me out and not smash into my car while simultaneously paying attention to the traffic coming from the other direction, and then the rest of the drive home also sucks because everywhere is under construction and everyone is angry and road ragey about it.
I also see a lot of dead animals that people have hit with their car because they aren't paying attention and can't slow down just a little bit and I find it possibly disproportionately upsetting.
So when I get through the door my adrenaline is at a 23/10 and I think this may actually shorten my life.
I am.. not excited about doing this in the winter because I think I will probably just die due to the physics of driving on snow and ice on top of the existing issues with exiting the parking lot, and/or be stuck at the office until spring because the exit is also on pretty significant slant as well.
