I think I have found two fics written by AI. One a few months ago and now another.

I'm not 100% they are written by AI, honestly. But the last one that I just found it's just weird how the dialogue is written and the character awareness of what's happening when they shouldn't know. I could be wrong but the prose felt so weird and wrong...

The thing is, I don't want to call them out if I'm wrong. There's not an obvious tell that it's AI. The story doesn't have many readers so there are no many who are reading and analyzing the content to notice something wrong.

I think the best we can do in these situations is just not read the story.

even if a fic is ai, it still doesn't give you or anybody the "right" to call them out for... doing their hobby / engaging in their hobby in a way that you don't approve of. I dislike ai fics, but I will never shame, harass or "call out" people who let ai write for them, because 1. what they do is not my business 2. chances are that it will lead to harassment, which is not something I condone.

again. what a person chooses to do when it comes to their hobby, whether or not they choose to use ai, is no one's business but their own's. I can disagree with them — by minding my own business and not reading their fic — without resorting to criticizing them, commenting unkind things on their fic, or making a call out post against them.

so tired of people thinking taboo stuff in fiction equals taboo stuff in real life and “you’re a bad person if you write about it or enjoy it”. not to mention how harmful it is to reduce the severity of these things in real life by watering them down to dark fiction, my dude, humans have always enjoyed fiction that is taboo. otherwise there would be no horror movies or slasher movies or movies about wars and murders or any kind of media that wasn’t rainbow and sunshine.

just because you are personally uncomfortable with taboo stuff in fiction doesn’t mean your personal feelings are universal and it certainly doesn’t mean you get a free pass to harass others.

I’ve been into non-con fantasy ever since I was younger than 10 years old! I love reading and writing non-con fics, and I’ve been reading and writing them for almost a decade now. and guess what, I will never condone it in real life. nobody in real life is ever affected by the fictional things I enjoy, because it’s fiction and I am mature enough to separate it from reality. actually, even when I was younger than 10, I always knew that this thing I enjoyed was bad in real life. if a seven year old me could separate fiction from reality, you as an adult should be able to do it too — unless you’re deeply troubled, and in that case you need professional help.

no, you’re not morally better than anyone just because you don’t enjoy certain topics in fiction. you’re a bully if you think you can harass real people over fiction.

put your anger and energy on people who harm others in real life, instead of harassing innocent people for having thoughtcrimes.

I just want to write "Something is bad because it creates a victim, NOT because it's icky" over and over until they finally get it. And fiction within the vacuum of fiction will never create a real living victim. Disgust about taboo fiction is fine, but treating it the same as real life crimes is insulting to real life victims. Laws are about preventing and protecting victims, not because the offense itself is gross.
