to my friends who I am still in contact with, those who I lost contact with, those who were still around and those who, like me, have emerged from the woodwork due to tragedy - I love you I see you I’m thinking of you

Liam, we will miss you forever 🕊
i did not once ever have a full night’s sleep from 2013-2015. nothing new to say that hasn’t already been said but it was so fucking fun being a one direction fan while they were still releasing albums/touring. can’t even put it into words or describe it. u were constantly terrorized while also having the best time of ur life.
I keep thinking about that time a fan asked Stephen Hawking about Zayn leaving the band and how he said there are infinite parallel universes and that in at least one, Zayn would still be in One Direction.
The thought that there are infinite parallel universes is comforting to me right now.
I’ve taken classes and studied grief and loss but there’s not really a guidebook for mourning one of the most defining parasocial relationships of your girlhood. I’m 29 and it feels silly to mourn over a person I met one time, for one minute, over a decade ago. But at the same time I’m 16 staying up until 3 am to hear a song premier on BBC Radio 1 for the first time and watching endless YouTube videos and posting and posting and posting on tumblr. I am 16 and crying my eyes out on the steps of Hollister at the Natick Mall because I am so overwhelmed with the fact that I met and I talked to and I touched One Direction. I am 16 and hijacking the sound system in my high school auditorium to dance to One Direction with my best friend. I am 16 and experiencing endless joy during some of the stormiest days when I felt so so lost at sea.
I am 16 and every person in my life cannot hear the words One Direction without thinking of me. And I guess now I know that I’m 29 every person in my life still cannot hear the words One Direction without thinking of me. Half my life has been spent loving One Direction, and so will the rest of it. Rest in peace, Liam.
no matter what we’ll do after this, we’ll never ever beat this
yeah, but isn’t that scary?
you know the post that's like: one day I'll be 45 at a party and ill hear a one direction song and ill be dancing my heart out because I never learned to love anything as much as I love one direction?......... yeah.......thinking of that right now
The past five years have been beyond amazing, we’ve gone through so much together, so we will always be friends.
Every single one of you had a hand in changing our lives and I hope you’re as proud as we are. xx
i think like. we knew them when they were so young. and even as we’ve watched them grow up and reveal more of themselves and make mistakes and prove themselves fallible the way we didn’t see as starry eyed young fans. it’s really hard because there’s a facet of me that has immortalized them in my mind as the 15/17/18 year olds on the stairs on a tv show. really young faces and big dreams you know. and it’s like. now one of them is dead? he lived to be a really troubled man and now he’s dead? but i was just listening to him sing to me about first love
one direction (2010).
the absolute cruelty of death and it leaving this complete lack of ability to find and give closure. he deserved at least the chance to recover, heal, and make amends.
