Oh dear
Hey guys. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE who reblogs this post BY MAY 5TH 2019 will be getting a small monster design based on your blog theme, name, or profile picture. Let’s go.
Oof I’m reblogging it bc why not but if you can’t get to me that’s fine
Some of the Ship Dynamics I’m absolutely weak for :)c
So.
I read this book, it was called The Last 8. At first I was like, “ok that was a good book” but then I thought about it. And thought about it some more. And I realized there are SO MANY things wrong with book.
⚠️spoilers ahead⚠️
You may ask, “what are those things?” Well for instance, the fact for the first 3/4 of the book you think the last 8 people on earth jUsT hApPeNeD tO bE liViNg On ThE sAmE cOnTiNeNt? I mean that’s a little weird. When later you learn that they were all part of an experiment it makes a little more sense but, how did no one know they were part of this experiment, specifically their family? Did they just take the kids and somehow “make them forget about it” because uh that’s not mentioned at all in the book. Ok now with Noah and Adam dying. There was no point for Adam to die. Now I can understand Noah dying, it gives purpose for our MC. But Adam dying was just, not right? I feel like it was just to play with our emotions which could have been done in a much better way. And he was the LAST completely human guy. Now Violet would be the last fully human person. With him dying it also left 1 guy out of the now group of 7 people? Well I guess that sucks. The ratio of that is a little too lopsided for my tastes. And the book LITERALLY has the number 8 in its name. Like really, Adam should not have died and I stand by that decision. Now, with the plague. The author does realize there are things called underground bunkers on earth right. The fact that no humans made it to those bunkers just confuses me. I get it, the disease made it easy to infect others but if you take Adam and Violets example, they didn’t die with all the other humans around them completely infected? On that note, WHY WERE ADAM AND VIOLET NOT INFECTED IN AREA 51. They very clearly discussed how everyone was getting infected, including kids. That’s just confusing at best? Ok now, this is a problem I have with most apocalyptic books. There literally is no one to run nuclear power plants? Those things are gonna explode with no one helping them work, showering the whole world in radiation. But that is just a general problem I have with these types of books. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.
Current stars: 1.5
Note: I am in no way trying to say this author is horrible or anything of that sort I am just stating my opinion on this book in basically rant form. There were many good things in this book like how our mc was Latina and the amount of lgbtq characters was amazing. But I just felt the things mentioned above outweigh it for me. If I missed something in this book that explains any of these problems let me know because I will change this “review” thank you.
Finished:
A Blade So Black
Review- 3.5 stars
I liked this book. Truly I did. But the ending was just kind of weird and the antagonist was confusing at best. There were a couple sentences in the book that were blatantly contradicting each other. I feel this book is really only popular because it contains a person of color as the protagonist, which is great and all, but that can’t mean the book is automatically good. I feel this author has a lot to give but they just haven’t reached their potential yet. Even though this book was not the best. I still will look forward to reading more of the authors works in the future

I’m going to start reviewing books occasionally (if I have time) because well, I can lol
quick 80s au doodles
I love this so much ree
I don’t think I ever posted this but basically keefe is cat
K so this Vampire Keefe thing? I dig it. But clearly we need to drag the other characters into it. So I raise you: Sophie is a vampire hunter who swore to kill every vampire since her parents were killed. She encounters Linh, who believes her twin brother was killed by the high lord of vampires, Keefe, and thus she joins Sophie on her journey of vengeance. Unknown to Linh, Tam is actually alive (well…. Undead) and was turned by Keefe and as a consequence is keefe’s servant or something idk guys it’s really rough. I have no idea how the others all fit in I just wanted solinh and somehow Kam happened too.
Also Sophie uses a crossbow and Linh uses daggers or stakes or something stabby.
I’m sorry I have fallen in love with this au ( I SWEAR I still ship sokeefe)
art is hard 99.8% of the time but the craziest thing is that the trick to drawing the back of something is just ‘draw the front and then erase everything but the outlines’
E X C U S E M E ! ? ! ? ! ?
you might have to flip or move some things around depending on how symmetrical your subject is but yeah. voila. e magico
Taking the Ctrl-Alt-Delete path in art.
Let’s see where this leads us.
yeah tim buckley invented silhouettes. its a wonder you dont need someone to carry your huge brain around for you
That’s.
Not.
How.
Silhouettes.
Work.
I know you probably heard “oh, they need to be recognizable from every angle.”
That doesn’t mean every angle should be the same.
That’s how shit like this happens.
is the horse looking toward you or away from you dipshit
Im sorry this isn’t book related but it changed my life bye
The princess hears the prince calling from his tower “I’m ready, my queen, let’s conquer this world together”
So she puts on her plated armor melted to her skin, worn each day To fight the fire with her own, slaying the dragons of doubt
Until the rain washes her of her past traumas Yes, she nearly drowns but she is strong like that
Finally, she scales his towers Each stone a bruise from his childhood, insecurities falling past her swollen feet
This is her specialty For she has climbed many towers with her rope of compassion But when the princess finally reaches the top
He says, oh wait, this is all too much for me I think I’d much prefer to stay I’m sorry
So she bids farewell, turns to the world And sighs once more Because yet again, she never realized The prince was such a bitch

everytime you see this post you gotta compliment yourself!!!!!!!! at least once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha
this appeared on my own dash and I’m so mad and I guess I’m proud of how much I’ve grown in these past couple years as a person
Reblogging this because everyone needs to compliment themselves (even if it isn’t book related)
Keefe: hey, hey, do the thing!
Sophie, embarrassed: *smiles*
Keefe, tearing up: oh my god
Controversial opinion: I find Sophie kinda unlikeable :(
After Flashback I’ve been liking her less (which isn’t saying a lot because I love her) I definitely think she needs to be hit over the head with some common sense. Idk I used to relate to parts of her character A LOT and now I don’t anymore but that’s more on me rather than Shannon’s writing
I agree. For me though it’s just the books in general though. It could be because I’m older than I was when I started reading them but the recent books I have just liked less and less. Like I still love the books but I feel like some of the books were a little boring like how in flashback half of the book they were in the healing center. For some reason lodestar is also really hard to read through again. I love the series but I think you can tell Sophie’s journey is coming to an end.
sophie with alicorn wings: a concept
I love it so much ❤️❤️
