So I figured I’d see what this tumblr thing was about. 

Some things to know about me: I’m 19, taking time off from college to survive end times. I swear like a trucker, drink like a sailor, smoke weed like it’s an Olympic sport and am not afraid to be open about my love of sex, music, books, tv shows, movies, everything. 

I have sweet Cane Corso boy named Mouth and a demon spawn from hell Maine Coon named Fucker. I feed her, she doesn’t kill me, its a love match.

I’m still in my emotions so I’ll post about Roswell NM later (probably still be incoherent) so I’m thinking on other shows to obsess over watch. I made a list, like a nerd.

1. Umbrella Academy. I only watched the first season, enjoyed it immensely but never continued. Top contender.

2. 911/911 Lone Star. Evan Buckley. TK and Carlos. Enough said.

3. The last season of The Walking Dead. ☹️.

4 …. my adhd needs more!

The only reality shows I watch are The Voice and Forged in Fire. Oh and Floor is Lava because I like to watch people fail spectacularly. It’s a thing, I’m not working on it.

I casually watch Chicago Fire, Med, PD. I keep up with Greg’s Anatomy mainly because my mom watches it. Same for The Good Doctor, The Resident, and Transplant. She’s got a thing for doctor shows, looks like.

Don’t judge me but I’m checking out Vampire Academy because I was obsessed with the books.

The Lord of the Rings: Ring of Power and The House of Dragons are on the list to check out.

What I’m saying is, please share with me your current hyperfixations and give me the deets on any new shows that look promising!

So your saying Alex and Liz, the human soulmates, we’re the reason Michael and Max were able to get them out of the pocket dimension?

I hope this is coherent.

I kind of almost wish I believed Alex’s death was a possibility. To feel that anxious anticipation. The show has never shown those high a stakes before, even with Max’s death, we all knew he’d be brought back. Rosa didn’t stay dead and she died pre-season. It was a big loss that changed every characters trajectory and they brought her back (I’m glad don’t get me wrong! I love Rosa and Amber)

No one with any real significance has died and stayed dead (aside from Mimi) Look at the deaths so far-

Noah. Still bitter they made him the bad guy but no great loss aside from Isobel’s warrior queen character arc.

Jesse. Three cheers. Alex and some Malex character arc.

Jones. Arguably best bad guy if this series. No lasting impact except to further season four’s ophiacus plot.

I guess you can say Nora’s death but we didn’t get to know her until after she died.

No ‘good’ character or ‘main’ character has died and stayed dead.

Alex won’t die, at least not for long.

And that worry, anguished anticipation isn’t there. The build up, will he/won’t be isn’t there, at least for me.

I have a huge gif set planned of parallels and moments of Malex. I just need to find a few episodes from season 1 and 2 to download so I can complete it.

So I guess we’re pretending to forget that Tyler had an unexpected back injury and that the show had to work around it to support him with his surgery and recovery. Fandom was so worried about him before but now it’s like let’s ctrl+alt+delete on that information because we wanna believe it’s Chris spiting M/A instead.

I get it’s disappointing that Alex likely has reduced screentime in RNM’s final season if he’s one of your favourite characters. But RNM giving one of their contracted actors the time and space to look after their health—RNM choosing the option that won’t exacerbate injuries and interrupt the recovery process of an actor—is not homophobia against a character.

And the desire/hope for the final season to fail as some kind of ~retribution for Alex’s screentime is weird. It’s still a Latina-led show with Jeanine pouring her heart into it.

I just went looking through the history of Instagram stories, and no, Tyler first posted on social media about injuring his back on September 5 2021. Further, referencing it on social media for the first time in September just means he posted on social media in September. His back injury could be even earlier than that.

In terms of S3, this is following COVID changes and I do notice Alex typically interacts with 1-2 other people at a time however I do not think that is enough evidence to say he was sidelined by RNM. We don’t know if Tyler was concerned about filming in large groups, we don’t know his availability, and we ALSO don’t know if his back issues first presented much earlier than he first started publicly talking about it.

Tyler also mentioned in his farewell post he was “dealing with a myriad of personal issues” during RNM’s production and that they met him with “kindness, support and love from everyone at all times”.

Yes to all of this. To me in season 3 it felt obvious that TB asked for some kind of accommodations and that’s why he was mostly in scenes with 1-2 other people. I don’t know if it was about needing to work less to accommodate his physical or mental health, or COVID concerns, or what, but to me that’s the most obvious answer rather than a conspiracy to screw over TB.

And I do believe he will miss more episodes in season 4 due to accommodations HE requested/needed.

Damn even our speculation that this started in S3 and that that’s when Tyler started requiring accommodations and why he was absent from group scenes rather than it being targeted harassment and exclusion was correct 🤷‍♀️

The disjointed pacing and the complete lack of balancing storylines.

It’s like a crossover fanfic on crack. Is Sherlock and the Winchesters gonna show up? Will the Clave classify aliens as Downworlders? Wait wait wait, Nancy Drew is on the case! Klaus will definitely have something to say about wasted powers and misguided morals. The werewolves of Beacon Hills hears a banshee cry and follow to…Roswell! Stiles will surely have something to say about aliens. Probably like “I knew aliens were real!!!” and slap a very unimpressed Derek’s shoulder, who rolls his eyes at the tin foil hat Stiles is sporting. I’M BATMAN MY PARENTS ARE DEAD. Daryl Dixon’s crossbow.

I’m kind of glad it’s cancelled, kind of like a ‘told you so’.

Next episode theory.

When Michael opens the ‘portal’, Alex is there but neither can get through. They hold their hands up to each other’s at the threshold. This will be the cliffhanger.

Then in the next episode, they find out that the only way to free Alex/break down the barrier is to bring about the Alighting.

That’s why in the episode synopsis it says Michael fears that he’ll never get Alex back.
