"You don't know me enough to miss me. Why are you here? Who told you to come here." I pushed myself out of his arms and grabbed my keys to at least get inside.

"Oh c' mon, don't be like that. I can miss your beautiful face even if I don't know your heart so well. And besides, I plan on changing that today."

Quick Update

Hey guys! Sorry for the radio silence. I moved two states over and have no internet and little to no service out here. I keep calling around to see if anyone can set up internet in my are for less than a fortune but so far no luck. Hopefully it’ll improve soon, but I get the feeling I won’t have that much luck coming to me.

"Those both have caffeine in them."

He smiled widely and grabbed my hand again, "Hot chocolate then?"

I pulled my arm away from him, "The answer is no. I already told you that I would contact you if I had an interest in seeing you. Now, Gretchen can see you out. We'll be in touch."

"Is that a yes then?"

"Get out of my house or I'll burn the paper."

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of updates, there’s been a lot of shifting going on in my life. Not to worry though, all is still fine, just busy. Anyways, here’s Dreams Really Do Come True

It smelled like burning rotted flesh, and I turned to leave, but he grabbed me. He pulled me back to him, still calling my name. I looked at him, now choking on the smoke and the smell. He screamed at me, "June! You told me you'd always be with me, but look what happened when you left me!"

I gasped for air and tried to pull away, but his grip just got tighter. "Please, I didn't want you to go, I begged you to stay! I told you there would be other missions, other ways for you to be a hero for something greater. I tried my hardest to tell you it wasn't safe, and that I could go too, but you wouldn't have any of it!"

He pulled me and dragged me closer to him. He grabbed onto my shoulders and held me close enough that I could see his flesh melting off of his face. I turned and gagged, trying not to let my nerves get the best of me. He clawed at my arms, insisting that my death was the only way to fix the damage I'd caused. Soon, my arms were gone, and he pulled me closer to him, puckering up what was left of his lips. Something told me his kiss would be one of death, so I flapped my wings, trying my hardest to create as much space as possible. The flames spread around the burrow, and I heard the Mama and her babies calling out to me again, but this time it sounded like the mother was hissing and the babies were calling for backup.

I tried to speak normally, but I couldn't get much louder than my library voice, "I don't feel like that's the fairest observation given my current condition."

He smiled and handed me a container of crab rangoon, "You get the same thing every time, did you think I'd just forget it?" My chest felt weird, and I tried not to smile or blush and instead opted to mumble out a 'Thanks' before shoving a fork full of pea pods and beef in my mouth.
