Party Girls Don't Get Hurt || Club Trinity | Lily & MJ
She definitely needs to go here more. Actually, she might have been once before but she’s not sure if that’s actually the case. By the end of bar crawls she doesn’t normally remember them. But it feels like deja vu, and she does have mutant friends that might go here. “Let’s be friends!” She claps her hands excitedly. “OMG same. Like I know Tony and he’s a bro and all but seriously $75 or whatever is, like, I could buy so many groceries with that.” Measure your life in eggs and milk is not really how the grad school life is meant to go but anyway that doesn’t really matter right this second. She would probably not stick out too much because she’s a journalist and they’re good at blending in. But she’s also a student and students don’t go to fancy balls.
"Yes!" Mary Jane shouted in agreement, clapping as the other girl did. She nodded as Lily spoke, laughing as well. All that ran through her mind was that this girl was funny and hopefully she wouldn't be a blurry part of the night come tomorrow morning. This woman was telling the truth about those ticket prices. "I know, right? It's insane! The amount of money I'd pay for a single ticket would probably be my entire life savings. Maybe that, I might be short a few cents." Mary Jane teased, though part of it was true. Buying one ticket would mean no groceries for a month at least, so the smart decision was to just have a fun, cheap night out. Clearly in her mind she chose the right option. "I don't know how some people afford it, but I'm happy just being here so that's all I need. I've uh...got drinks, a dance floor, and a new friend!"
