Mashed potatoes on her boobs… The thought danced around in Eva’s head and she had no idea how to begin to process that information. “Where, when, and how did she discover that? Your day has been way more eventful than mine… All I did was finish my Halloween costume.”

xiomara could only shrug, she had no idea where it came from and she never wanted to know where the woman got the idea from. “i wish i knew,” she shook her dark locks before putting some hair behind her own ear. “it seems so but i bet you had fun while doing it.”

“no, it’s not a real thing. it’s a wild thing, honestly. i wasn’t ready to walk in and see that ‘cause all i see is this woman with mashed potatoes on her breasts and i’m like ‘what the hell.’“ she let out a small laugh. “ah, lucky you but what are you going to be this year?”

xiomara’s brief story made harley almost scald himself on coffee. “sorry, did you say– mashed potatoes? what?” his voice dropped to a whisper, as if he wasn’t sure if he had a right to talk about boobs. (he wasn’t.) “now i feel bad. i don’t have anything as interesting as that, unless you count also being called out by the police.” he raised an eyebrow, pretending to turn suspicious gaze on xiomara. (pretending, unless she was.) “do you know more, though?”

xiomara nodded her head at his words, she wishes she was making this up but she was not. “yup, mashed potatoes. i don’t know where she got that from up but there she was with her baby and it was.. a sight to see,” she laughed out. xo couldn’t believe she was even called out, it was ridiculous. her green orbs caught his gaze, she arched her brow up at him. “if i did, i would have said something.” which was a lie, if she did have anything to do with then she wouldn’t say anything but when she spoke to the police, she was completely honest. “they just think because i have medical knowledge that i would have to do something to do with it.” she rolled her eyes.

Rumor had it if you offered Solomon a drink one time fast, then he would appear within minutes, and Xiomara’s offer collected some compelling evidence for the theory. He promptly reported for duty, and now they sat at her place swigging drinks. “You know, I complain about the clients at my job a lot, but some of the situations you’re in are really something else. As far the police…well, let’s just say I probably feel about the same way you do.”

“welcome to the life of the medical field,” she held up her drink and took a pretty long swing. she wasn’t going to lie when she had a rough day, she always popped open a beer or poured herself a glass of cheap wine. whichever she could get her hands on quickly and come home. “what are they saying about you?” questioned xo, putting her glass down on the coffee table.

“it’s been a day,” xiomara let out a small chuckle at the memories that ran through her mind from her morning shift. she lifted up her drink up to her lips and took a long swing. “i wasn’t supposed to work but i got called in because we were short-staffed and i legit walked in on this woman putting mash potatoes on her boobs because it helps breastfeed then some guy had his wife and his mistress in labor at the same time. then whole cops thing thinking i know more,” she said shaking her long dark locks. “but how was your day?”

honor liked when it got colder. the air felt crisper, cleaner, and when she wasn’t at work, she found herself strolling the (now possibly dangerous?) streets of cape hazel with the warmest drink she could purchase at sips. she felt the october air hit her cheeks, and sunk further into her scarf, enjoying the quietness of the world. the person in front of her was walking a little too slow for her pleasure, though, so after a long sip, she cleared her throat, and when that didn’t work, she piped up. “excuse me, but could you get out of the way? people have places they have to be.”

after a long shift, xo wanted nothing more to get someone to sit down and just relax with a hot coffee. hearing a voice piped up behind her, her brow arched up and she turned around. “there is this thing, it’s called walking around the person. if it’s such a rush, you can go around.” she pointed.

this wasn’t the first time that xiomara was in a police station. when she in high school, she had to answer a few questions about a tagging done by one of her friends and herself. as well as many things, they have done in high school. the nurse threw up her hair in a messy bun, she then rubbed her hands on her scrubs. her green orbs snapped over when the door opened and closed, a man walking in to question her. it was starting, she was ready since she had nothing to worry about.

“tell us where you were on the night of tuesday, the first of october.”

xo looked at the man, “i working at the hospital, making my rounds.”

“can anyone confirm your whereabouts?”

“yes, my boss and my co-workers can confirm it.”

what was the nature of your relationship with ms. upton?

“we don’t have a relationship with each other. i seen her around but that’s about it.”

how often did you interact with her?

“never, honestly.”

when did you last see her?

“on my day off when i was shopping for things for my apartment.”

did anything seem out of the ordinary either in town or in your interactions with ms. upton prior to tuesday, the first of october?

“i didn’t know her well to think anything was unordinary about the woman and the town seemed like it usually is. it was a normal day.” 

do you know anyone else who might have information pertaining to this missing person?

“no.”

do you have any other insights or information about the case that you wish to share?

“nope, i have nothing.”

this bean right here is my bby xiomara aka xo.( im jane the virgin trash send help ) and this is her backstory. sorry this is long, once i started i couldn’t stop !! i hope you enjoy it !!

xiomara vega was born to a young couple in florida, it was a simple hook up and nothing more. during the pregnancy, the parents kept their distance and didn’t speak unless it was about the baby. they had nothing in common with each other. it was tense.

growing up, xo was pushed back and forth between her parents like they were divorced and out trying to do each other in every single thing they did with her. she didn’t understand it but she was a happy child to just spend some time with her family. her father was calmer and her mother was tenser.

when she turned 2, her mom married for the first time but it didn’t last very long. when she turned 5, she got remarried but found out her husband was cheating on her. when xo was 13, her mother remarried some rich man and her mom got sucked into the life of the rich life. her mother ended up have two more daughters and a son with the man.

xo felt left out of the family, she didn’t fit in with them since she was kinder, softer, a heart of gold. she would help out animals that she would find or the elderly when she had the chance. her siblings found her weird for it. xiomara overheard one night when she while staying with her mom that she didn’t fit their family’s picture from her stepfather. so she packed her things and went back to her dad’s house the same night. the teen was hurt and upset since her mother saw her and didn’t come after her, she just let her go and acted like nothing happened.

xo has a strong relationship with her dad but when he tried to talk to her about how things were at her mom’s, she shut down. the girl would smile and say they were perfect. she was very secretive with her feelings, she kept them to herself. the two always did fun things together like go to theme parks, camping, fishing, going to the beach. he kept her grounded and always made a lesson out of everything, something she took to heart at times. 

while in high school xo had a bit of her rebel phase, she started to smoke ( something she still does a lot ) and drink. she would be out late and hanging out with the wrong crowds, she came out with tattoos or she would stay at her girlfriends/boyfriends house or whoever she was seeing that month. she was only doing the things she was doing because she wanted her mom to care but she never showed up for her. she only got a scoff, a shaking head, and yelled at because she was ruining the family’s rep.

xo decided to fully live with her dad after a long talk and she sort of cleaned up her act, age 17. not too much. she still loves to party, smoke and drink. the two moved to cape haze, maine. her mother didn’t fight on it, she let her go. although she says different.

after high school, the teen knew the one thing she loved to do was helping people who needed it. she went to school to become a nurse, she loves it. she was very well known in the hospital. her smile is wide, she gave everyone the same respect that they give her.  

xiomara knows she could do more so when she isn’t at work, she is studying and going back to school to become a midwife to the expecting moms in cape hazel.
