so ever since the update to chapter 5 which added the new dialogue about IMAGE_FRIEND, I've been seeing a lot of stuff connecting it back to Spamton, and him hiding from them because he broke some kind of contract. so I'll be honest here I have not been keeping up with the ARG stuff, so can someone just explain spamton's lore please. thank you

Something I've noticed about Deltarune chapter 5 that I haven't seen anybody talk about is the Meta Story surrounding Flowery.

Mainly the fact that he's a Mary Sue. I'm not saying that he's a bad character or poorly written, it's literally what he is in the meta story of Deltarune. He has Max Stats, he has an infinite money box, he's nice to everyone and has not a hateful bone in his body, and everyone loves him. He doesn't need the power of friendship he's strong enough without it, yet he does anyway because he's just that swell of a guy.

You see what I'm getting at. he's too perfect, in a way nothing real can be, because he isn't technically real, in reality he's a nameless Flower, it's only in the dark world he can Flowery and he uses that to make himself perfect. This is also likely in reference to how in a lot of anime you would see stupidly overpowered protagonist, or ones everyone loves without a reason.

And part of the reason Ralsei, I, and so much of the fandom dislike Flowery, is because we're frankly jealous. Flowery is perfect and none of us are, so we get mad. Flowery does everything better, he spares enemies quicker, he solves puzzles on his own, and he think he can make Asgore happier.

But even in the dark world they can't escape reality, because ultimately the dark world is based on reality. And he can't actually make Asgore Happy, he can't actually stop the knight. Though he probably knew that his perfection wasnt real from the start, he just didn't care, he would have wilted away anyway in the dark, and he was only meant to live a single day

so uh 1 and 1/2 points I guess though frankly Noelle had to learn sometime and it wasn't in this chapter so really just the Flowey darkner thing.... so maybe I should just stop trying to figure out what the Fox is planning
