A loud set of footsteps is heard followed by metal thud of a tankard on the table. You look up to see a familiar face.
"I'm back lads."
A dither prickled under Edward’s sudden intrusion and the pirate narrowed green hues, keened on the thief. Dull disbelief and above all; annoyance melded into one in a splinter of seconds and James found snippets of possibilities filter in his mind like stills—ghosting a look in his eyes of the many ways he could murder the child

“What’s wrong Kenway?” In the glint of the sunlight, James culled his pistol and pressed the cold steel of the muzzle against the boy’s brow with full intent. “No need ta fret.” Awaken a instilling fear and a image of the kind of ‘demon’ he was. The macabre flesh that just winked beneath his sleeves.
A dark look pealed across his lips, scrutinizing Fillan under his gaze. “As fer you, you reckon yer ready? It is a life of deceit an’ plunder an’ it isn’ a stroll. Death creeps an’ clings ta our every move. Commitments ahre made ta be upheld an’ not discarded as soon as you find a splinter in yer finger.” He eased the muzzle down his face—“If you plan ta leave a mark, leave a scar. If you plan ta withstand fire, stand in th’ flames. At th’ end of nigh’, you room with us. You live, eat an’ sleep with us. You ‘ill have ta face th’ wrath of ‘ose you insisted a lie upon, loose lips.” coming to press it against his mouth.
But the boy would have to provoke more of a reason to hurt him. Even when he had given him enough not to trust the boy with keeping secrets: spilling jewels as soon as hand crept up to wring his neck—so to speak.
Edward takes a step back, a little more than creeped out at Kidd's actions. "Jaysus Kidd, calm down. Y'don't wanna scare 'im off."
He turns to look at Fillan, then returning to Kidd. "Y'two know each other, don't ye?"
Edward strolls up to the cell, wearing a prison guard's outfit. "Bloody 'ell Anne, what've y'done now?"
Her eyes fluttered open, her hands feeling numb after so long of them held up by the chains. At first glance, she glared thinking it was another one of the regular guards, here to gawk at her. But after blinking, a moment of confusion at the sound of her name, she realized who it was. ” Jaysus, ye sure took your time, Edward! “ She snapped, keeping her voice just above a whisper, knowing other guards couldn’t be far. " I’ve been waitin’ here for hours! " She shook the chains, emphasizing how desperate she was to get out. " I didn’ do anyt’ing, I was jus’ in town and next t’ing I knew, a bag was o’er m’ head! " She wondered if someone had seen her come off the Jackdaw, knowing there were some who didn’t take kindly to pirates ‘round here. " Jus’ let me out, please, I don’ want t’ know wha’ t’ey’ve got planned f’r me. "
Scuttling out of the cell in a hurry, she glanced down the halls, unsure of where to go. " Edward, ye gonna have t’ be the navigat’r here. " Her heart beating fast in her chest, she found herself feeling guilty of him risking himself to save her. She would forever be grateful at him being her knight in shining armor, but should they be caught, both would be hanged. " How’d ye find out I was in here anyway? "
He looks around, remember which way he came in. "Aye, this way." he says in a hushed tone, quickly walking down and around a corner. "An' what am I s'pposed to assume when I don't 'ear the loud, angry Irish voice on the Jackdaw?" He looks at her cheekily.
“Lead you on like what? Hm?”
Dipping his head forward, James squinted curiously.
“—You alrigh’ ‘ere? Not goin’ ta spark water works ahre you? Tat ‘ill be a sigh’ ta see, won’ it.”
He chuckles nervously and wipes his eye. "Course not lad, don't be daft."

" Tha’s an understatement… " She rolled her eyes, thoroughly offended that they would grab her in such a way. Her arms were sore from their roughness, and her throat dry, they’d given her nothing to eat or drink for the last 24 hours and she was starting to feel the pains of hunger. " Jus’ get me outta t’is bloody cell… " As he fumbled through the keys she watched behind him, making sure no guards would come back and happen upon them. She gave Edward a crooked smirk, one side of her mouth opening with her grin. " Did I mention I love ye lad, bu’ if ye hurry I’d appreciate i’ more… " Not to mention that, jaysus, did she have to piss.
"Alright lass, calm down, I'm goin' as fas' as I can" He said, unlocking the door and gently opening it. "Come on, the rest o' the guards are pissin' around." He ushered her out and locked the door again, leavin' it unchanged, just minus the inmate. "An' y'can thank me later." He said with a smirk.

"Yeah…it’s just. He….he mistreated my mum and I." Kieran said, taking deep breaths. "No one even said a word after I took care of him." He said, a glint in his eye, a malicious smirk on his face.
He chuckled into his pint as he took another gulp. " 'At sounds like quite the tale, lad. Seems like you're in the right place if that kind'a thing is in your 'istory."
