Social media seems to have this vicious cycle within tech/creative groups. People ask the same questions over & over because people pick up skills at different times & veterans will give the same answers again & again. Then the memes start that poke fun at how the answers are always the same things yet they ignore the fact that the questions are always the same so the veterans pull back from being helpful since it’s not appreciated. The memes stop & people continue to ask the same questions then wonder why no one wants to help. Sorry kid, some asshat chased off the helpful folks. You’ll have to wait until a new knowledgeable person joins. You know, someone that hasn’t been burned in the cycle.

IMVU Toolkit for Blender error

Be advised if you are using the toolkit for Blender 2.9 LTS you might encounter this: Python: Traceback (most recent call last):  File "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.93\scripts\addons\IMVU_Studio_Toolkit.py", line 2255, in draw    if bpy.context.object.mode == "WEIGHT_PAINT": AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'mode'location: <unknown location>:-1 Opening a support ticket with IMVU was about as helpful as another hole in the head. Everyone kept asking me to update my chat client even though it was updated on my end. seven customer service reps auto replied & then closed my ticket without reading the problem. They even asked me to include a detailed description & screenshots all seven times. I added the detailed description & screenshots when I submitted the ticket. An utter waste of five hours. My python knowledge is the bare minimum you get from those free coding bootcamps. Btw this is the 0.6.4 release of the toolkit too. When I opened the ticket it was 0.6.3  It’s a bummer that the problem is still there. It causes the Clothing Tool section of the toolkit menu to be completely empty. If anyone knows how to fix this, or how to try to fix it (I want to learn!) please hmu.

After I said it was a slur I had someone ask on another app if it was okay that their nickname was G*psy and everyone called them that because their name is Romany. Like.... I just said it was a slur it’s right there, I’m sorry you gotta change everything but that’s the way it is

Internet Privacy & Safety PSA

Be careful what you share unless you are purposefully establishing online identity history. I noticed a rather intense twitter argument concerning current events & the OP deleted their account. With only the PFP, username, & the “job title, & current country” made public by the OP I found their KooApp account which pointed to their full name & LinkedIn. It took 5 minutes tops. And it turns out they torched their main account. That must suck. It makes me glad I had a 10 year long hiatus from social media before returning.
