crxxkedevilâ   /   jakoris.
Wry grin on his face, Jakoris replied with some amusement. "I guess you know now that I donât do subtle.â tongue flicking up against his fangs again to carry the point forward. The vampire had always been upfront; his way of determining whether heâd like the other person or not. If they were brave, stupid or downright idiotic to think to challenge him at his own game. The way the human carried himself was narrowing the options to their purpose in the neutral faction, the few remaining mortals were like treasures. Jack wasnât all that fond of knowing this one could be a little more than the standard weak. In fact, he was probably on the edge of playing with fire himself; part of the game he figured. Treading the tightrope until he lost footing and fell.Â
The comment admittedly caused a stir in the pit of Jakorisâ stomach, a little twitch of eagerness at the taunt as if heâd take up the threat and make truth of it on the bar side. Jack didnât usually play as easily with men as he did women, but this one - entertainment. âSome like it, donât knock it til you try it,â he commented, eyes flickering to a few spots on the manâs skin, the temptation to act on their back and forth increasing. Jack was far more controlled to let it overwhelm him. âIâll even let you bite back if thatâs what youâre into,â he smirked, wondering if the man possessed the strength to even penetrate skin - and if he did, that might actually become a problem. The other male didnât need to see that thought become verbal. Youâre actually fucking going with it - just because you have suspicions about him, wow.Â
Then the threat came to light and Jackâs head lifted to shift his attention to the mortal. The grin was still visible from each corner of his drink when he swigged it. âWith a tongue like that, itâs a marvel youâve lived this long,â the vampire remarked, a genuine bout of surprise in his tone. The mistaken accusation - or ruse, whatever the manâs angle was left an impression on the vampire. The name, too, was another level of amusement. âI donât think youâre drinking to my taste, Jack,â mirroring the otherâs gesture and wallowing the last of his glass, the cup being put down on the side, the vampireâs finger flicking it across the counter for the tender to refill. âUnless Iâm mistaken and youâre into the A,B,O spectrum?â he taunted before handing out his name - if not just for the fact they shared it. âand Iâm the better Jack,â I also had the name first, little fuck. Â
âNo shit.â He scoffed, eyeing the vampire carefully though his eyes always seemed to fall back to the fangs. If he were honest, which didnât happen very often when he spoke aloud, supernatural creatures fascinated him. There was so much to learn about them, all of them, and that thirst for knowledge also fuelled his thirst to hunt. Though, his thirst to fuck with them was much stronger. Especially arrogant vampires like the one who had been so open two seconds in to their conversation.Â
Jack laughed, shaking his head at the other, âIâm sure Iâd fucking love it, actually. But I donât trust any of you enough to trust that youâd stop before I ended up being bled dry. And whatâs the point in biting back when the pretty marks are just gonna disappear from your skin in seconds? Thatâs just a waste, do you not think?â He asked, brows raised as tongue darted out over his lower lip, wetting it slightly before biting softly.
âMost people see the value in a tongue as good as mine.â Jack smirked, âDefinitely good enough to keep me alive, but my other skills help too.â Skills that heâd rather keep under his belt unless he had to use them. If he downed one creature at Beserkers, he was sure the others would take it as a challenge. Then his night would be full of fighting instead of what he came there to do -- drink. âDoesnât mean you canât buy me a drink, does it?â The human asked, chuckling at the others suggestion. âNo. Though Iâd make a pretty hot omega if I say so myself. I hear the alphaâs canât resist when one comes around.â Jack had often used lone wolves as bait for bigger and badder wolves - promising the omegaâs their lives in return for their help. It was bullshit though, unless they were smart enough to run when the other wolves were fighting for their lives.
His brow raised as the other introduced himself, though it was quite a common name he supposed, âYouâre really not, but Iâll let you have your delusions, just this once. Oh, and Iâm drinking tequila. For when you buy me that drink.âÂ
