Marlo the pig getting in the Halloween mood
I kinda lied, this'll be my last post for a while - #dtla at #sunrise - my view these days. It's the little things that matter.
There is no telling what tomorrow will bring, but with a little luck and a lot of work, the future will be great. I'm going to be super busy for a while, so updates to social will he sporadic at best. But I'll be having a great time and I'm super excited!
Love the #fall weather when I can wear my uggs
I love #clouds at #Sunset (at Church of Scientology)

#tbt - I found my baby book last night. I have to say I was a pretty cute kid 😄

Ravello - Italy
We almost didn't make it. Between expired passports, planes that coundn't make it off the runway, work emergencies and late connections it was a miracle that we made it to Italy this's year.
Our first stop was Ravello, a magical town in the mountains above the Amafi coast.
Ravello is a small town up in the hills of the Amafi coast. It's a total tourist destination, and yet despite that, it manages to maintain it's small town feel. All the locals know each other, and like every good small town, they all know each other's business.
We are staying in a place called The Graal Hotel, and I highly recommend it. It's owned by a family who's matron still lives on the property, and it's staff are very hospitable. The rooms are quite comfortable and offer an extraordinary view of the coastline.
Right up the street is the main square. I'm told that if A local wants to talk to somebody, they don't bother picking up the phone, they just go sit in the square for an hour or two since you can't get anywhere in town without going through the square. While we were there for dinner, a group of kids were out there playing around, some of their parents probably watching from the cafés that line the square, but otherwise unsupervised since it's such a safe space and everyone knows everyone else.
While were were there we learned how to make pasta, stuffed and battered zucchini flowers, and a bunch of other stuff from the Hotel's chef which was a lot of fun.
We visited a winery where we had a huge meal so we could taste five of the wines they made there, and got to see a 400 year old grape vine they make their signature wine from. It was incredible, standing in the shade of this beautiful old plant, it made me want to move to and live there just for that (though it doesn't take a lot for me to decide I want to move to Italy).
When we weren't cooking for enjoying amazing food, I would go exploring. I walked down to Amafi and all over Ravello.
I had so much fun exploring, getting lost and taking pictures, it was the perfect jet lag recovery method as far as I'm concerned.
