ive had rdr2 ambiance on my tv all day its been comforting but i just zoned out thinking abt cowboy gunbelts right. cuz im staring at arthur n then i started thinking abt cooper. cuz u got a normal pants belt right which. actually i hav an interest in historic fashion but idk how belts worked traditionally did pants still hav belt loops to keep them up. i assume so cuz otherwise theyd slip. altho ik suspenders were also in use they might be under the clothes actually 🤔 ok yeah i googled arthur wears suspenders. idk when belts became popular. but then we have coopers 50s influenced take on cowboy fashion so he has two belts and one's a normal belt around his hips but what i am musing abt tonight is how the fuck the gun belt sits crookedly on hips like that for both these characters. it looks cool asf it gives me gender envy somehow but wtf is keeping the heavy ass weight of the holstered guns up when the belt is laying below the hips n therefore has nothing keeping it from slipping. and i refuse to google i wanna solve it myself thats why im talking out loud. it lays crooked on the side w the gun which makes me think it's latched on one side? somewhere? coopers might be fastened to his pants belt but with suspenders how tf- man im going to bed
