that is actually my main principle of explicit fic is that the personalities stay On during sex.
The amount of times I’ve read scenes in explicit fics and thought “they would not say that shit”
"this character is clearly a brat and theyre treating him like a dom" is my most consistent issue in fandom and it BAFFLES me how do yall not know the difference?? do u forget brats exist?? THERE'S A CLEAR DIFFERENCE N YALL KEEP MAKING THIS MISTAKEEEEE im sick of it!!! he needs to get fucked within an inch of his life n yall r making him christian grey!!!!!
i watched reboot 2022 for johnny knoxville liker reasons expecting not to like it cuz i have a hard time w modern sitcoms and i dont think it had a chance to find its footing so it felt clunky esp w the humor but it had potentialllll and im so distraught it got cancelled. the heart of it was really really good and the characters were wonderful and i wanted to get to know them more ;-; judy greer is one of the funniest women working and pairing her w keegan michael key n knox was like a stroke of genius like thats such a brilliant trio of hugely charming comic actors who also have range and GOD i wouldve loved to see more of them in those roles??? knox got one (1) dramatic scene as clay and it genuinely broke my heart and made me have to sit back and glumly stare at the ceiling. clay barber i only had you for eight 25 minute long episodes and i will think of you for years!!!!
there is a clay & bree friendship fic in my drafts now i fear. bc they robbed me of a scene of bree telling him about her newest reed drama & his reality tv loving ass perking right up. do u think they used to sit in hair & makeup and gossip

watching an unpopular show n getting attached to a character but when u look them up on here all that comes up is smutty imagines
jackass fans n knoxfuckers this is of the utmost importance. can anyone tell me if theres weird yaoi in any of knoxvilles shitty movies
he comes from the charlie day school of "it's more interesting and fun if it's gay"
what character(s) do you associate with the person you reblogged this from?
"is jackass queer media" discourse is so funny. i just bought a johnny knoxville magazine from 2005 where hes in leather daddy gear
i also couldn't fit this into the tags on that last post but i wish i could sit down and talk to him about jackass costuming bc the fucking. village people vibe of his preoccupation with wearing and queering uniforms is soooooo interesting to me. i'd try to word it less annoying ofc LOL but the way gay culture kind of. fetishizes and almost bastardizes hypermasculine jingoistic american military uniforms? it's parody. and jackass very much does the same esp knox like it's his signature thing. and it's so cheeky and... insolent? idk i just love when he dresses his skinny ass up like a general and pairs it with a colorful scarf and electroshocks his friends' balls there's something sooooo. and it was absolutely intentional too like the intro and outro of 2.5 are a place where they very consciously do that on a larger scale, not to mention the original tv show's title card being a fucking big proud american flag with the word 'jackass' sprawled across it. one of the first things ever filmed being knox getting tased while wearing an american flag like a cape.... for a bunch of dumb jackasses who always say not to bother intellectualizing their tomfoolery these guys sure made something perfectly irreverent at a key time (right in the middle of the clinton and bush administrations), which i do think contributed to their lasting cultural relevance. and that's beautiful to me

I like to call the Jackass group the gayest straight guys you’ll ever see
No cause it could have been the most toxic hyper-masculinity fest but its just... not? Its socioculturally kind of fascinating because its so different from everything else at that time, like it came out of skate culture but also gay icon Rip Taylor shows up in every movie until he passes away?
Beyond that, what they're engaging in is very clearly kink. Regardless of whether or not its sexual, it's kink. They consent to hurting and humiliating each other and after they all laugh together?
Chris Pontius is also almost always wearing nothing but a thong and none of the other guys seem uncomfortable with that? They don't seem to be guarding themselves against accusations of homoeroticism and by bringing actual gay people (like Rip and John Waters) as friends they're explicitly accepting queer people in their fandom.
These were a bunch of (at least assumed) straight men openly embracing VISIBLY gay men in the early 2000's, which is actually pretty radical. Like it was not something that would get you any sort of cred at that time, if anything it was the opposite of what anyone would think their audience wanted. It was all 'no-homo' at that time, and these guys were shocking each others balls and putting stuff up each others asses on tv, without ever once pausing to posture their straightness. And as a result it's super unsurprising to me that they now have a lot of queer fans!
I think in a lot of ways Jackass is doing what John Waters does with his filmography, so it makes complete sense that he would make friends with Knoxville. They're both doing this kind of pushing of the boundaries of what is "respectable" or comfortable for a mainstream audience to watch is (at least according to Waters) a fundamentally queer way of making media. It rejects hetero-normative cultural standards about what should be seen on tv, stuff that gets talked down and rejected not because its doing any real harm (to anyone who isn't consenting) but because straight men are disturbed by seeing other men put their dicks in danger and brand their friends asses.
Actual quote from Steve-o: "We always thought it was funny to force a heterosexual MTV generation to deal with all of our thongs and homoerotic humor."
I'm not trying to say here that they're all actually queer or that Jackass is some sort of humanitarian creation, but I don't think they get the credit they deserve for the queerness of the media they created, and they definitely don't get credited for what I think is a pretty positive kind of masculinity in a time when that was far from the norm.
Worse! It’s word of demiurge he doesn’t fuck! There’s an actual interview where Goggins says Cooper hasn’t thought about reproductive activity since becoming a ghoul. He says in one of those “cast answers Google searches” videos. That old man does not bang!
i knoww omg. i think ive said this, i actually started out hyperfixated on walton himself, which lead me to get into fotv + the games, so i was watching fotv promo before ever seeing the show 😭 and i saw that interview way back when so maybe it informed my take on the character? but i do think walton sees him pretty similarly to how i do; purely devoted to one goal and one purpose, to an obsessive degree, and everything else is irrelevant. well, two goals; he's also forced to worry about making sure he can provide himself with his serum, so all his other behavior + activities are in service of that goal (and a lot of his time & energy goes into it). and i do think by the time we meet him he feels a little hopeless about finding barb & janey, i know his ass could've got out / wouldn't have gotten into the coffin situation in the first place if he had a definitive lead on them, but the ghoul we meet is distinctly depressed. that's a guy who hates himself, is miserable being alive (except on the occasion something interesting happens, which often is how depression works anyway), and who deprives himself of pleasures. people have projected this sort of hedonistic attitude onto him (i still haven't played fo4 but thats hancock esque is it not?) but he's really not like that? the only instance in the show was the chem binge which was like. specific circumstances. him + chems are like a self medicating deal too not a.. recreational activity? idk my point is i think a lot of people see him as a. rake character? idk if thats the best way to describe it but like a. murdoc niccals bender rodriguez sterling archer character. cocky womanizer prone to substance abuse like thats what ppl seem to want him to be. with some inner angst bc he misses his daughter. hes not like that!!!!
rmr when ppl genuinely got annoyed at me / thought it was ooc (?? lol) to say i dont think cooper fucks n i dont think hes cared abt sex in at least 150 yrs. possibly all 220. i dont think thats a crazy thought yall either just wanna fuck him that bad u cant fathom thats not smth on his mind (as if hes not fictional anyway like characterize him however u want. but i do not think the character in the tv show cares) or u cant fathom someone not caring abt sex or?? idek i thought that was bizarre 😭 i still think abt that n go 🤔
