The way she very explicitly affirms that Tao is a girl by saying she’s only into girls and then calling her princess. That into the reveal that she, as a cis lesbian, brought condoms with her specifically for Tao. Miki may be a scumbag lesbian and arguably a bit of a chaser, but this would 100% work on me. Tao is stronger than I could ever be

What Miki is saying is extremely fascinating to me. She’s trying to make it sound like she’s a horribly possessive person, locking the trans woman she’s in love with in a cage so she can never escape. But in reality what she’s actually done is created a space where said trans woman can be herself and will be comfortable so she will never want to leave. Regardless of how sinister and possessive her intentions were, and no matter how much she thinks of herself as a villain trapping poor Tao so she can’t escape, the reality of the situation is that the “cage” she built is actually just a space where Tao can be herself safely and comfortably. I’m so fucking sad this manga got canceled, I badly need more of them
