the thing is I already know that men and society at large hate women. I know that young men in particular increasingly skew right and towards misogyny (I've read the articles, although all I really need to do is spend any time on any part of the internet to see the evidence). but then every so often something like this happens where it still somehow surprises me. like my god.. they really hate us this much.

This can be impacted by what screen you’re using (monitors vary greatly by saturation, for example) but still kinda fun to take the test and see.

I had read somewhere, though I’m having trouble sourcing it now, that traffic lights in America and Japan are the exact same color, but American children are taught “green” means go and Japanese children are taught “blue” means go (because of a difference in how “blue” is described in Japan). So American children color stoplights green and Japanese children color stoplights blue. All stoplights in both countries are, actually, aqua.

Next time you see a stoplight, see if you can tell. It’s fucked me up for a while whenever I look at them.

I really hope these aren’t real, but I have so little faith left in men. That last one especially makes sense to me.. because I read a dating book by a guy for women, and it said how you have to praise your man by telling him that he’s the best.. sexually, romantically, as a person... even if it’s not true, just always build him up by saying he’s the best you’ve ever had. So this is definitely how some guys think, and why we have such fragile male egos who then flip out when a woman doesn’t act the way he wants her to. Meanwhile women are used to always hearing that they aren’t the best in any way... we know there is always someone prettier, smarter, kinder, more talented than us.
