Fic Summary: Following the events of Sadnansi, Marinette finally comes clean to Adrien about his father's true legacy. But the truth leaves him with as many questions as answers—as well as a list of other people who've apparently lied to him too.

Chapter 1 - This Is the End

Heart thumping, Adrien pulled Marinette to his chest. He buried his face in her hair, trying to commit to memory the silky soft feeling and the scent of her shampoo. Because what if this was his last chance to do so? What if the things he'd always known deep down—that she deserved better than what little he could offer, that it was only a matter of time until she figured that out, until Adrien lost another person he loved. Another person he needed—were coming true at last? He could hear the words already. I love you, Adrien. But that's just not enough. Why else would she be here with her beautiful, tear-filled eyes, needing to tell him something important? Her cries gained volume, and she trembled in his arms. "I'm s-s-so sorry," she hiccuped, and Adrien's heart sank. This was it. This was the end.

OH MY GOD. of COURSE marinette dupain cheng will give up her memories. Of COURSE. what cosmic irony. Its such a warped reverbaration of Gabriel's final mistake. She's trapped in the inescapable situation in which she knows she cannot spare Adrien a future of unimaginable suffering no matter what she does. Shes realized she just cannot stop it now, and it's killing her. She is utterly helpless in this situation as the tragedy has already occurred, already was sealed before Adrien had even been born. And all she can do is watch.

And now she knows what Adrien needs, which is the truth, is the one thing she cannot give him. THE ONLY THING that's not within her power because she's convinced it will potentially put the entire universe in danger and thats the only thing she utterly cannot do.

So whats left? What is the only way she can give Adrien what he needs while also saving the universe from her pitiful mistakes? What is the only thing left in her power to do?

That's right. Take herself out of the equation entirely.

She is going to give up her life (of memories) so that she can deliver Adrien what (she thinks) he needs and protect the rest of the universe from her errors.

I feel like when some people theorize about a show they’re like “I believe this will happen” but I think that when I theorize like 90% of the time im like “WOW WOULDNT IT BE WILD IF THIS HAPPENED lol it probably won’t but WHAT IF” and that makes it awkward when people go WELL ACTUALLY— because like dude I was just being silly and having fun, babe it’s not that serious, I wasn’t staking my life on this, just let me have my funny silly angsty thoughts

Just announcing that i love Marinette's story arc this season. Love watching her take two steps forward and tripping five steps back. Love watching her dig herself deeper and deeper into this lie until it blows up in her face.

And I'm excited for the payoff, not just the angst and plot ramp-up, but the part where she learns and grows and does better and it eventually makes her and Adrien’s relationship stronger. Bc theirs is the core relationship of the show and that's always going to be the outcome. I want an earned happy ending and I'm sure we'll get one. Because Marinette is a hero in the end, and the writers know this, and we'll see it play out beautifully.

Just putting some Marinette positivity out there for you know. Reasons.

No one did better than random chance, even though they only included people in the study who are experienced with astrology and stated that they expect themselves to do better than random chance

They gave every astrologer a set of 50 things about a person and 5 birth charts to choose from. They weren’t even coming up with the chart themselves!

After taking the test, most thought they nailed it. Zero out of 152 did better than 5 out of 12. None nailed it

Astrologers who rated themselves highly experienced (“world class experts”) did the same or worse as those who said they have limited experience. Both performed the same as random chance
