"Spread The Influence" AU isn't mine, but you can read the comic here → @spread-the-influence (highly recommend it btw)
I feel so stupid posting this because the AU is centered around Ragatha, but hey the brainworms are deciding that Urple Bnuy is the most Important, obviously
anyway i'm sorry i love him so much just every aspect of him in this au is fire and im brainrotting so hard
i am SO heartbroken that my poor baby ended up BLIND post-influence that it's making me Cry, his story is so tragic here all i wanna do is hold him and give him kisses and cuddles like he deserves and be his Friend™
ALSO I JUST REALIZED I FORGOT HIS ARM BANDAGES IN SOME OF THEM FUUCUCCCUCKCKKKK i gotta calm down.
anyway enjoy art of bibi comforting the bnnuy and also patting his adorable t.i. "monster"(?) form
Side note, I might design t.i. Bibi because she's already green and black coded and I think this entire concept is interesting in general. I think a person's infected form primarily depends on what they want most from what I can decipher in the comic, but it could also just be "heehee scary" and I enjoy both ideas. I also just want to draw Evil Psycho Teddy
Idk what type of take this’ll be but I see Jax as Italian American or Irish American, on at least one side of his family. I see him more as Italian American, maybe that’s just cuz of Angel but idk, I think it makes sense. He gives that kinda like New York, or even Boston vibe. I dunno. I’m also not American so idk maybe it’s just me but idc it’s my headcannon
Give me all your Jax headcannons off the top of your head
P l e a s e
Shieet this is the first time someone has asked me this, but I'll give it a shot!
TW: Lots of angst, self-hatred, and mentions of abusive/neglectful parents.

Here are my Jax headcanons I can think of for now that are also related to the way I write him. Will update as needed!
Random:
Jax has undiagnosed ADHD
He wanted to be a game designer/programmer and that's likely how he got himself stuck here in the first place
Jax was 19 when he got stuck in the circus
Jax has never made any sort of genuine verbal threat to anyone. He was totally bluffing when he said he put centipedes in Ragatha's room, he just wanted to see her reaction.
Jax's memory of his past life is very blurry and was never good in the first place due to trauma. He refuses to tell anyone about it.
His relationship with the other members of the circus:
Pomni: Because Pomni is the newest of the group, Jax immediately clinged to her as his new curious challenge. He likes to explore people's limits and abilities, and so far he admires Pomni's way of no-bullshit and telling it how it is. His interactions with her are usually a little more extreme and unique because every reaction she gives him is another new thing he didn't know about. Pomni is likely who he turns to when he wants to have an actual conversation with someone.
Ragatha: Jax has a complex relationship with Ragatha, due to the fact that both of them mask in their own ways. He likes her, but he hates how she's constantly yelling at him for every little thing he does and he sees her more like an annoying mother figure. He doesn't mind the fact she doesn't really care, but he's aware that any genuine connection with her will likely never happen. After Ragatha admitted she hates him, he isn't holding his hopes out for her friendship. She's just his parallel.
Gangle: Jax is very apathetic to the existence of Gangle. She's cheap humour to him and he thinks of her as a total pushover. He doesn't hate her (at least, before episode 4), but he doesn't respect her because she never fights back against him and never stands her ground. Her reactions became predictable after a while and while they are mildly amusing, she's not the first person he'd turn to for any genuine connection.
Zooble: Jax likes to interact with Zooble in the way a little brother enjoys annoying his older sister. Zooble never takes what he's dishing and that's what makes her all the more interesting and fun to interact with. However, like Gangle, her angry reactions became predictable after a while. Despite this, he does enjoy talking to her in casual settings because she tends to stand her ground against him, and that proves more interesting than interacting with a punching bag.
Kinger: Kinger is probably the only person in the circus that Jax doesn't harbour any true ill will towards. Jax's relationship with him is akin to a boy with his father. Because Kinger never reacts in any sort of way that fights back, Jax doesn't make him the typical target of his jokes. However, if Jax ever interacted with Kinger in the darkness, he'd likely be the first member he would open up to and be vulnerable with. For two reasons: A, he will forget once they're back to the circus so there's no risk of gossip, and B, Kinger is more objective than the others due to his age and is one of the only people Jax can know for sure won't use his past against him. (I also headcanon Jax to have had a terrible relationship with his dad in his past life and that's why he finds comfort in Kinger, but you didn't hear that from me~♪)
His personality:
Jax is very afraid of being alone, so he spends as much of his time around others as possible. When people begin to ignore him, that's when his prankster attitude tends to be at its worst.
Jax's fear of vulnerability partially stems from the fact he doesn't want anyone to come close enough to be able to manipulate him at will. He's terrified of being brainwashed or losing his own sense of thinking, so he will do anything in his power to avoid giving people the information they need to do that.
Being who he is, he very much enjoys attention, and it's part of the reason why he acts out so much. The other reason being his parents neglected him for the majority of his life. So even negative attention is positive attention to him, as long as people acknowledge his presence and are speaking to him in any way shape or form, he will carry on as usual.
Jax HATES himself. He hates himself so much he doesn't even bother to think about it and pretends that the only important person in the world is himself. He wants to think that he's the only person that matters, other people are only there to feed him what he wants to hear. But deep down, if the circus had to choose one person to abstract, he'd choose himself too.
Because of this, Jax runs from his feelings with his usual stupid antics and by making others hate him too. It's his way of validating himself and reassuring himself that he isn't someone worth loving. He merges his standards with the way others feel about him, so as long as people are doing "the correct thing" by hating and berating him, he can satisfy that standard and feel... "Happy".
When it comes back to bite him in the ass (ex. when Gangle gets revenge on him), he only then realizes how deep in the hole he's dug himself. But will this make him better? HELL naw.
Believe it or not, Jax doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings nor be responsible for someone's depression, or worse, abstraction. He dreads the day that he finds out someone has been stewing over him for years and actually hates him, yet has never said anything to him about it.
Not that he'd actually DO anything if they simply told him...
Romance and dating:
Jax is aroace for the most part and has never fallen in love. At least not consciously.
He's had a few small crushes here and there, but he doesn't care much for romance or that sappy stuff. His stance with sex is iffy but he's for the most part not interested.
Nobody has ever asked him out in his real life and obviously not in the circus either, so he doesn't even really know how a date would work. If he ever manages to have a crush he'd probably bully them more just to get their attention.
This pathetic dumbass wouldn't even know it's a crush and would just be mindlessly fixated on this person until someone calls him out on his behaviour. He'll do anything possible to deny that it's a crush because he's never "had one before".
Jax can't even love himself or make himself happy. He can't imagine having to do that for someone else. If he ever finds out someone else loves him, he'll do everything in his power to push them away, because the only thing worse in his mind is someone making the "incorrect decision" and loving him no matter how much he tries to make them obey his "rules".
He never wants to be responsible for someone else's heartbreak, yet consistently seems to find himself in situations where people leave him because of how terrible he is. This, of course, reassures him that he can never be loved, so he goes right back into acting like the villain he knows he is. In his mind, he's only following expectations so that he never truly lets anyone down.
In the off hand chance someone snaps him out of it:
Jax is practically waiting for the moment someone comes and relays his problems to him clear as day, dissect him like a frog in a biology class. If that ever happens, he'd probably stand there in shock and dismay, not knowing how to respond.
That would cause him to fixate on this person. Jax is a curious individual, he wants to push people and things to their limits to learn more about them.
However, his shitty sense of relating to people emotionally leads him to a path of failure most of the time. He doesn't know when enough is enough, and when someone finally establishes those boundaries with him and puts him in his place, that instantly makes him want to push their limits even more.
He really needs someone to show him who's boss and fight back with his every move, even show him that they're smarter than him. Jax wants something new, something interesting. He wants a challenge, and there's no doubt will that individual be his toughest challenge yet.
If we ever see the best of him:
Jax is unlikely to improve on his own and will need someone to smack him in the face and tell him to snap out of it (literally or figuratively, lol)
But regardless, at his best he's finally at peace with his own feelings and no longer merges the way others feel about him into the way he feels about himself.
At his best, he's able to recognize when his teasing goes too far, and instead of protecting his own ego (because lo and behold, he wants you to hate him yet continue to praise him because of some strange paradox), he will own up to his mistakes and try his best to apologize.
Of course, without someone to shove him into gear, we're unlikely to ever see this happen. If anything, he'll either get worse, or one day he'll end up alone and with no one to use as a mask for his own feelings. And he'll have to face himself, painfully, and raw.

Anyway that's all I can think of at the moment and, like I said, I will probably update this if I think of anything else later. But I hope you enjoyed this LONG ASS rant (sorry) about our favorite angsty bnnuy rabt
Oh I never thought of Jax and Bojack but it… ohhhhh it kinda makes sense…. Not……. Exactly but the VIBE is there… Jax is better at hiding his depressed little ass though
